We're defo having a summer this 2025!

We've had a hot few days here in the UK and I am loving it!

For me it's been the perfect excuse to get our in the local beer gardens for a few bevvies, one of my favourite things to do in the whole world!

Personally I prefer the shade for sitting around, not full sun, that is too much.

And running has been fantastic, it's been perfectly cool but not cold weather for my 6.30 a.m. runs with my cap on shielding my eyes from the rising sun around the lanes and fields.

And then finish the run and coffee and croissant, walk back through the local park, it's all good.

And aircon blasting in car when I drive.

Summer shirts, obviously, I love a summer shirt, I just spent £90 in next the other day on three new ones, and shorts,

And just generally slobbing around the house in nothing but swimming trunks!

And a paddling pool in the garden, although it has to be REALLY HOT for that, like well into the late 20s, and we rarely get that.

But the current mid to late 20s, it's just been a blissful spell, and I can't say we haven't had a summer, because we have, it's been going on strong for a couple of weeks, late June to early/ mid July, all good!

I mean maybe it won't last into August, but we've had a good one so far!

I don't like it over 30, but some nice weather can be good. It means we can use our pool more. It's been like a bath some days, but it takes a while to warm up. Just need to take care in the sun. I'll stick to the mornings for running when it's a little cooler. By 9am at parkrun I was sweating at the start.

I love eaerly morning runs at this time of year, but sweating by nine is too much! All change today here, raining now!

Looks pretty nice, its been in the 90s with the heat index in the 100s most days around here. Luckily we have been getting pretty consistent rains, so no need to water anything outside.

No such thing as a “blissful” 26°C here, that’s morning weather for us... But I totally get the excitement over the sunshine your side.... beer gardens, early runs, coffee and croissants... that’s peak summer living right there
