Splinterlands Land update... change to grain and slow progress on the region!

So We are ALMOST up to 400 plots either developed or developing in my region, that's plus another 10 in the last month....

I mean OK slow progress, but progress nonetheless. I guess a 40% uptake could be worse!

In terms of what PP I've got on what plots it's looking like this ATM...

Screenshot 2026-02-02 at 21.02.43.png

That's 200 DEC per hour or roughly $100 a month just from Land, if we assume a DEC price of $0.70 - maybe being a little generous there.

NB I don't skim off anywhere near that, in fact most of that goes in the pools these days, it's hardly worth selling resources ATM, I think it's a good time to stack some!

Main changes since end of last month....

My big realisation was that I may as well put more resources into grain. and less into the others, given the negative return on the later compared to the former.

However I've got enough cards to keep producing some iron/ wood/ stone, so it's worth it because I need them for Aura production and also just to stack for later as they could well increase in price.

Overall I feel like I'm pretty well balanced ATM, I'm producing something of everything, stacking a little AURA too along the way still,

Be interesting to see how the next phase affects things....

And I'm still gradually building up my PP too!

I stopped my Wood plot when it was just above break even, Land becoming really complex in Splinterland's.

!PIZZA !LOL

Interesting shift toward grain—your reasoning about negative returns on other resources makes a lot of sense, especially with the current market dynamics. It’s cool to see someone documenting the slow but steady development of a region instead of only chasing quick gains.

I’ve been exploring the Hive ecosystem from a more beginner and educational perspective, trying to break down these kinds of strategies into simple guides for newer users. Posts like yours actually help me understand the deeper mechanics behind land and resource balancing.

If you ever have a moment, I’d appreciate your thoughts on my latest post—I’m always looking to improve and learn from more experienced players like you. Either way, thanks for sharing these updates; it’s useful to see real numbers and decisions behind them.
