More Splinterlands LAND Musings...
The novelty still hasn't quite worn off land, and the sounds about more utility coming through the Land Barons Discord are encouraging.
I'd be happy if we gradually added one new use case a month for research, wood, or whatever, to keep us going until the next major update, which will probably be several months away!
In this post I'll look at my Productivity, my region and then a few thoughts on my next LAND stacking steps!
Productivity.....
I'm gradually stacking.....
Today....
So I've mainly taken PP off Wood, because of the low price, and put most of that on grain, I've also upped all of stone, iron and research, and put a nominal amount on SPS but that's just so I can keep an eye on the price.
I've also added around 30 000 PP since two weeks ago.
Region Overview...
278 Developed
32 Under construction....
310 total...
Compares to 279 and 30 two weeks ago, I'd call that a glacial rate of progress!
At this rate the region will be fully developed in around a decade.
Land Musings...
My current thoughts on balancing my resource production...
- GRAIN - this is the easiest to work out, I basically have to have enough PP on grain to cover all my other needs, ATM I'm feeling that running a slight surplus is appropriate as there's some new resources coming online soon (hopefully) and grain is probably going to be cheaper to farm now relative to six months time...
- Wood - Now it's back to evens I'm happy enough to farm a little wood... but defo NOT my main focus given the low price, I put most of this in the pool.
- Stone - easy farm... most of my PP goes on this, highest price and I swap most of it DEC, most of that goes on cards and more stake to LAND.
- Ore - over to Xiang Po my second bought-in region I have six Ore plots. I've got some decent PP on these, as I have a feeling Ore is gonna become massive later on. I may even buy more.
- SPS - I have one plot with limited PP just to keep an eye on the costs really.
- Research - I've got one decent PP plot, my only epic magic plot, makes sense to max the boost. I also have a reasonable amount of stake on my other rare magic plots, I'll switch these over to Research when Aura labs come in.
- Aura Labs - I am gonna go for this when they come live, I've got a total of 4 decent magic plots to split between research and labs, if it's a good return (looking like) I can switch 12 over!
DEC Stacking and Card Purchasing Plans...
My next tract target is a cool 3M TOTAL DEC across 107 total plots.
RN I think it's a good time to sell some DEC and SPS but from Mid May I'll start stacking again proper....
I want to just stake DEC first as I've got a few nice 10K PP requirement cards not in use.
Then I'll buy a few more chaos gold rares and regular legs and then just gradually increase my PP.

My lands only produce wood and grain, so I ended up getting screwed. I have thought about buying a couple more plots, but then I have to pony up the DEC too. For probably quite a little gain. I'm bummed that the game has moved in a direction that isn't sustainable for me. Especially given how involved I have been in it all these years.
Wood is back up again, stone is down, it's all levelling out... You really need a tract to have any fun though.
Yeah, see, that's just 1% talk there! :)
