Green Tech Markets are Booming, Despite the Political Bargey!
The politics of climate change policies may well be a bureaucratic mess, trust me I know this because of my experience dealing with a few Eco 4 cases gone wrong, but some sectors within the Green economy are booming.....
The S&P Global Clean Energy Transition Index has doubled in one year to become one of the few bright spots in an uncertain looking global economy.
And according to Bloomberg: Global energy-transition investment reached 2.1 trillion dollars in 2024...
Why the market uptrend for Green Tech...?
In short it's because Green energy has become a better bet in recent times than fossil fuels.
Solar and wind continue to fall in price and once installed, their marginal operating costs are close to zero. The International Energy Agency confirms solar is now the cheapest form of electricity ever recorded, undercutting both gas and coal generation. IEA, 2023
Coal, on the other hand is suffering from higher extraction costs, increased regulation and mounting liabilities for pollution and health impacts.
The “Coal Isn’t Dead Yet” Argument Misses the Point
Sceptics often note that coal consumption persists, especially in Asia. However while this is true, coal production and consumption are not going to stop overnight, the simple economics is that coal production costs are increasing, but green tech costs are decreasing and at some point the economics of coal simply won't add up anymore.
Final Thoughts
The markets don't care about the politcs of climate change. They care about returns. And right now, clean tech is where the returns are.
I am now left wondering what role fossil fuel and clean-tech tax breaks and subsidies play in all of this, I'm sure this is the result of a more level playing field, but I guess there will be plenty of people around to argue that this is not the case at all!
I think the shift towards renewable energy sources such as solar and wind is not just a fad; it is turning into a wise financial choice.

If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone
I've been labelled a lot of things on Hive 😂 by the biggest farmers scammers and downvoters

I think battery storage is getting cheaper too, so a lot of the arguments about the variability of renewables are less valid now. Solar can work well even in the UK, but for countries nearer the equator it can do much more. The coal and oil lobbies are desperate, but they still have a lot of power. They already bought a president to do their dirty work.

Hello everyone I hope you are all good and well today in this post is some of the evidence to prove my case
If you didn't know I've been getting downvoted for a long time on Hive
They have been trying to bully me with downvotes and words but it doesn't affect me I've been online for over 25 years
So I've dealt with people like this before it's nothing new
But what they are doing is bad Very badi joined steemit like everyone else thinking it offers freedom but I must say steemit offered much more freedom than Hive does
Everyone already knows I only post my own original content I have no need to steal anything from anyone
