Crypto Holdings Overview August 2024....

Fluctuating prices have meant the dollar values of my crypto holdings have changed a lot, even though I haven't really done that much shifting around since the last time I checked a few months ago.

The main changes are most of my larger holdings going down except BTC which has held level, so that now makes up a larger percentage of my total holdings...

Overall it hasn't been a great few months, I'm just glad BTC is holding up!

Crypto holdings Overview

Here's how things look this month!

chart (7).png

  • The biggest gain is BTC - now making up 40% of my holdings. I have bought a little more.
  • Hive has dropped from 30% to 20% of my holdings, the price has nearly halved since my last update.
  • SPS/ and Splinterlands cards are down more than 50%, DEC down around 30%, the most unstable stablecoin out there! LAND I'd already undervalued last time, so I'll just stick with that. SL assets still make up around 20% of the portfolio...
  • Everything else I never held that much of, but LEO is down 50%.
  • RUNE and ADA and ETH and LTC have held up pretty well.
  • ATOM is also down 50%, AKT down a bit too.

And without Splinterlands Land or Cards

This really shows how much better BTC has done than everything else!

chart (8).png

  • BTC now over 50% and hive dwindling
  • HBD is at 7%, I've been stacking!
  • SPS and then RUNE are my next largest holdings at 4% 3%.
  • Then everything else is really bits and pieces!

Best and worst performers from the last month!

Well BTC has really shone, and I'm happy that my decision to gradually stack more BTC over the past few months, on the dips, has paid off.

Splinterlands cards and land and DEC and SPS have plummeted in value, the cards are down more than 50% since I last checked.

I'm so glad I didn't buy any Rebellion packs. Also I'm glad I've been skimming for ages now. Of course this means I am part of the problem with the asset prices declining, but hell I've got enough of a VEST.

I'm not panic selling as the yield on the assets is still OK and it's still a tangible crypto game, I mean you can actually DO something with these assets.

Next Vests...

I'm happy to keep piling into BTC, after that I might look to stack some more RUNE and AKT, these are nice yielding coins too...

It seems like a slack time for crypto. I wonder if some people are waiting to see how the US election pans out. Tr*mp makes noises about crypto, but he's not to be trusted on anything.

Nice that BTC is holding up. My graph would be easy. It's all hive/HBD, I'll diversify in crypto if I ever add a lot more lol

Hive is a good starting point IMO, easy starter. My largest holding in better times!

My distribution is roughly 30% $HIVE, 30% $HBD, 30% LEO, and 10% $BTC. I need to up my BTC.

I'd look at that like 90% Hive ecosystem, more outside would be good IMO!

You are not wrong and I will be leaning heavily on BTC for the next few months.
