Crazy Zings!

I really like the sound of @acidyo's Holozing game which is due to be released early next year.

It's a monster capture, training and turn-based battling game and knowing acid's solid reputation on Hive it's going to be a game for the sake of a game, almost certainly with a low-priced entry point so pretty much anyone will be able to play for a few tens of dollars I imagine.

So I was happy to stake 50K HP initially for the ZING token drop and now I'm going into the ZING-SWAP.HIVE liquidity pool.

I think I got a bit lucky with being one of the very first to unstake my initial ZING, which gets staked rather than being delivered liquid as part of the drop, and had my first 500 released last Sunday I think it was.

I was one of those people wringing his hands eyeing up his 20% pool share last Sunday, which I promptly unpooled thanks to a bit of insider Discord info! No hard feelings, naturally!

And I've had consecutive daily unstakes being released every day since then.

In case you don't know: you can have multiple unstakes going on Hive-Engine at once, unlike Hive - so you can unstake say 1000 ZING on 3rd November and get 250 ZING for 4 weeks and then you can unstake another 1000 on say 5th of November and get 250 a day two days after for another for weeks.

Forward sell 20% of my 100K ZING STAKE...

That was my plan all along - aim for 100K ZING staked by around end of November, I'm still just about on target for that, and sell 20% of it.

But sell that 20% EARLY. You know the way new token prices work, right?

They start high and go down!

I estimate I've made 830 HIVE from selling 11K ZING so far, so that's an average price of around $0.08 ZING per Hive, which is pretty sweet.

I could have done slightly better, but I'll take this, I say I about 80% bossed it.

Of course ZING might go up in price, in which case good luck to those selling into it over the next days and weeks, I'm happy with my results, and I'll be in the pool so benefitting from that anyways.

Pooling...

The way this usually works is you get crazy returns in the first dayz, then good for a couple of weeks, then it's pretty much downhill from there.

Screenshot (231).png

So the trick is to sell around 70% of the ZING (or whatever) token then pool 30 with 30% HIVE, meaning you just hold 40% as HIVE....

AND THEN.... buy a fuck ton of Zing in a few months when it's bottomed out.

Had I nailed this with DEC/ SPS over the past couple of years I'd have about an additional $100K in the bank and more SPS and DEC than I've got now.

Thankfully I sold SOME DEC and SPS when it was 5-10 times what it is now, rather than none. Hindsight is a fine thing!

So anyways, ZING is much smaller volumes, but at least I nailed this.

Naturally I'll just pile most of the profits back into the game, I don't think leaching off it is really in the spirit of things, but I'll power back up the HIVE I've lost in curation first, and buy a few beers, naturally!

I would actually encourage people to NOT buy ZING at these prices, but that's not financial advice! There is a max supply of 9 quadrillion!

But hey, it's your choice and I'm happy to sell some RN!

ZING STAKE TARGET... I DUNNO - 1 MILLION...?

Certainly I want 100K stake by end November, should get there.

And certainly 200K by the end of Jan between stake and the pool

Then we'll take it from there.

But I mean who doesn't want a million of something, right...?

Nice! It's been weirdly difficult to get the price down, not that I personally have been trying. xD

If only I'm not that lazy and put more effort into learning all about the tokenomics, I could potentially be earning a bit of all this as well.

Great work Carl!

I heard Croatia being bandied about, I'd be down with that!

Ghana is somewhere I'd quite fancy too, having just got into the Djembe I could make a real long trip of that!

I myself have a lot of interesting articles about this game and people are waiting for this game because it is very interesting and whenever there is something new on the project we see its prices go up.

HoloZing has led me into exploring aspects of the Hive ecosystem that I have not really noticed up to now, despite being in Splinterlands since before Chaos, I'm looking for pointers to good learning resources for noobs, something that doesn't assume any prior knowledge (like what exactly is curation ??, what are the implications of delegations ? etc. etc.), I'm a GenX'er , not a digital native :-)

Any recommendations or pointers are very gratefully accepted
