18 hours of spring cleaning!

I've finally got a weekend all to myself after FOUR on the trott of being away on the social.

Social stuff is all very well and good and lovely and all that, but i've got to say I've had a great Saturday just all on my lonesome (not feeling at all lonely) and basically just cleaning the house.

I'm feeling righteously tired already and I've only done a couple of hours. (Naturally I've spent the majority of the day dozing, dicking about on Hive, working on my other blog and nipping into town.

Obvs I washed some clothes, note the hoover attachments, been used!

Today's cleaning

What I did do today was:

  • Living room clean round one - that involved moving all the various shit out, recycling (mainly) or filing four weeks worth mail that's been sitting on my living room table for about 6 weeks or more, dusting everything, I even moved the furniture to proper dust and hoover behind....
  • Bathroom clean round one - just basically bleaching pretty much every surface, except for the bits of ceiling I couldn't reach!
  • Kitchen clean round one - I put away all the dishes, wiped down all the surfaces, surface of the oven.

And to do....

I've broken this down into bit sized, roughly hour chunks (or less)....

NB I do spring cleans in two rounds... I do all the basic stuff, then the next level, so next is...

  1. Living room round two - that's simply going round with a damp cloth and getting in all the nooks and crannies, windows, curtain, moping the floor.
  2. Bathroom round two - same kind of thing, micro cleaning all the tiles on the shower with a scarper, proper in-depth, and all the grimy corners where the floor meets the walls.
  3. Kitchen round two - dry wipe of every surface, wet wipe of every surface including floor and behind all cupbords.
  4. Kitchen round three - oven,
  5. Washing machine - too grim, gets its own number!
  6. Insides of cupbords
  7. Fridge
  8. Bathroom again! It needs two lots for proper micro cleaning!
  9. Backyard and Frontyard.
  10. Bedroom
  11. Office round one
  12. Cellar quick tidy
  13. Clothes cleaning/ mending
  14. Office round 2.
  15. Office tidying.

Final spring thoughts...

All of the above is easily achievable for my deep-clean this spring, by Mid May, just a few hours hear and there really over the next fortnight!

NICE!

Woah, so much! Want to come and deep clean my bathroom? It needs it. 😂

Why is the washing machine grim? Are you taking it apart? 😯
