AAVE getting interesting for europeans

I've been considering different ways to get yield. Of course, here at HIVE we have one of the best ways to get stablecoin yield with HBD. 15% is still one of the best rates of the market if you look at the balance of risk/reward. That's why I decided to keep some HBD yielding juicy rewards.

But in the ecosystem there are other players offering higher yields if you are willing to take more risk. It's not my case, I don't like this kind of risk, at least for now I will be looking at them at the distance.

One of the best decentralized lending protocols is AAVE. If you have to explain what Aave is you could say it's a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol that allows users to lend and borrow cryptocurrencies without intermediaries. Lenders earn interest by depositing digital assets, while borrowers can access liquidity by providing collateral.

And today I was reading twitter and I found @StaniKulechov explaining that currently at AAVE you can lend EURC (an Euro pegged stablecoin) for a 4.56% yield. But, is this yield worth it?

Yes, it is. It's actually beating all of the saving accounts of the European banks. They currently yield between 0 and 2.5%. The new digital banks are the ones offering the higher yields while the tradicional banks like Santander or BBVA aren't giving anything.

I can't tell in words how much I hate the traditional banking sector. They are bullies that don't let people earn anything from their money. Young people is moving to the new digital banks, but the boomers and our grandfathers aren't trusting this new institutions so they are forced to stay in the old banks. So, they aren't getting any yield.
Banks know the situation very well and are taking profit of the most vulnerable people. Those who don't have any financial education.

FUCK THEM!

Good news is that they are appearing new alternatives to get yield in Euros.
