Post Introduction: Redundancy & Its Importance

Here on the @rentmoney blog we believe redundancy is important. We are always thinking of the newbie that might be stumbling upon our post from web2 for the very first time. This is why we like to give at least a brief introduction to the main focus of our posts. Without doing so how would a newbie even know what we are talking about. So with that in-mind here are two questions you might have while reading this post followed by the answers to such questions. (1) What Is Splinterlands? Splinterlands is a #play2earn game hosted on the Hive Blockchain. Assets that have real monetary value are used to earn rewards/ more assets in a robust gaming economy. Such assets are tradable on-site or on many different secondary markets such as TribalDex and Hive-Engine. Don't have a Splinterlands account yet. Well you are in luck because I just so happen to have an ambassador code. Clicking it will start the sign up process. What is an ambassadors code? Its a code that will give me credit for your sign up at no cost to you. Here it is: https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=rentmoney Don't want to use my ambassador code (no worries) here is a direct link that will forgo any credit to me: https://splinterlands.com. (2) What Is The Hive Blockchain? It's many things including but not limited to: A source for information. A host spot for many play2earn games. A place to build your own business. A place to run a blog account. A place to interact with your online friends. A place to expand your knowledge. Your imagination is the limit to what the Hive Blockchain has to offer and could be to you. Creating and curating content on the Hive Blockchain will give you the opportunity to earn the Blockchains main currencies known as Hive and HBD (Hive Backed Dollars). No financial advice has been given in this post. Do your own research before investing/ spending any of your hard earned currencies.

Card Sales Volume

Rentmoney and crew pondered a question today. What was that question? Well, it was a simple yet important one. A question that its answer is easily found but potentially overlooked by some. A question that its answer is of what Rentmoney and crew believes to be of great importance to the Splinterlands ecosystem. The question: what is the 24hr sales volume of Splinterland cards? We are not referring to pack sales here but the sales of individual cards on the official Splinterland card markets. A market that is built for players to very conveniently trade their Splinterland assets. Before we get to that number lets go over why that number is important. First its a great indication of player-base and how we interact with the game. If the number is high that indicates the player-base is as well since its the player-base that purchases cards. If its low two of one things are taking place. (1) Our player pool has shrunk or (2) Our player-base simply got their fill of cards from other means (purchasing packs). Neither of those things are necessarily bad (Player-bases can shrink and then re-grow at a natural healthy pace) but I believe the overall Splinterlands ecosystem benefits more from a lack of packs not an appetite appeasing amount. To quote an old classic movie, you gotta leave them wanting more that's the gaf my friends. In short: it is of our opinion that selling an underwhelming amount of packs will spark a fire in all other markets related to the cards that are in such sets. Ideally this will create a profit circle: Packs Sell out-> Secondary pack market pumps -> 24hr sales volume of cards pump -> Card values pump -> profits are made -> profits are used to re-invest in Splinteralnd products (the next set). Having an appetite appeasing amount of packs has its benefits, there is no doubt to that but if something is always available that does take away some of the lure and urgency of purchasing such. Its that urgency that creates excitement, conversation tone (how many packs you purchasing vs. the thought, I can just get some later).

What Is The Sales Volume Of Splinterland Cards?

$5,800 Is The Answer (24hr sales volume)

--------------> Daily fluctuations change this number

Lets Dig Deeper

Now that we got the number the next question that comes to mind, is that a big number or not? Rentmoney and crew thinks so. That is near $6,000 USD being shared/ traded between card holders within the Splinterlands universe. Can we the Splinterlands community increase that number? We sure can as its been higher but $5000-$6000 is nothing to sneeze at. Considering we have many other assets being traded daily that isn't limited to DEC, SPS, Land; Splinterlands in-house trading platform is doing just fine. The greatest part of all that is its you the Splinterlands player that benefits from such. Now that we told you the exact number. Now that we gave you our thoughts on such a number lets go over where that number can be easily located. To check 24hr sales volume of Splinterland cards you will need to log in to the Splinterlands app and scroll to the top of the page. Locate the icon that says MARKET. After doing so hover over that icon. A drop-down menu will appear. The very first thing you see in that drop-down menu will be the words CARD SALES (click it). After clicking such you will be brought to the Card Market. In the top corner of your screen you will see displayed the then current 24 hour sales volume of Splinterland cards. Not only will you see the fiat value but you will also see the amount of cards sold to reach that fiat value. As I type this the sales volume already increased from $5,800 to $5,864. The total amount of cards sold to reach that number 4008. Lady's and gentlemen 4008 cards being traded daily is a number to be proud of within itself. That's it for today. As always we here at the @rentmoney blog appreciate you spending time with us. Always do your own research before investing any of your hard earned currencies and never invest what you can't afford to lose.

No financial advice has been given in this post. Image sources has been linked in the post. Yes I'm aware I have repeating images in this post. I do this sometimes on purpose for multiple reasons. Regurgitation of information being one. Showing the original image vs my edited version is another. Can't get enough of the @rentmoney blog? Understandable, here is more of what you love: A Short Post (CHAOS, LEO, NIGHTMARE, HIVE). All the best with your future endeavors.

Is there any chance to see how was the market in a day before CA release? Or a graph with the going of sales?

Still a good number though

Interesting, there are allot of tools out there but I'm not sure there is any that has historical data such as you suggested. I too am now curious. If I find anything of note I'll be sure to pass that info onto you.

That’s really impressive! It’s great to see Splinterlands still going strong with such active sales. The balance between supply and demand really shows how well the game’s economy is being managed. Exciting times for players and investors alike.

It is encouraging that people are becoming more interested in this project and as more sales occur, more people will come here to buy cards and thus we will see this game become popular all over the world once again.

I wonder how much of the sales volume is transacted on the Splinterlands site 🤔 versus the third party sites like my favorite Peakmonsters. I suppose since they are just basically frontends they might show all the sales on the blockchain.... hmmm to big of a question for me

To my understanding that is combined sales of Peakmonsters + Splinterlands.

I'm not sure about the other sites.
