Before I tell you how let me tell you what
Moon Karts is a racer style game that has the notolsitic feeling of Mario Kart but with the ability to earn rewards that are tradable. Moon Karts is the Flag Ship game of Arcade Colony (A platform that showcases multiple games with more planned to be introduced). Arcade Colony is a platform developed and owned by Invennium Corp. The Invennium Corp. is a 100% subsidiary of Splinterlands.

****Sign up to Invennium Corp by clicking on this link.

How to play Moon Karts
Did you click and sign up under Invennium Corp? No, ok we will wait for you to do that. Yes, alright lets continue. Moon Karts is on the Arcade Colony platform and you can log in to Arcade Colony through this link: Click here to go to Arcade Colony and play Moon Karts.. I use the secure log in app known as Hive Keychain for all my log in needs. Once you log in to Arcade Colony you will see a list of featured games. Select and click on the Moon Karts image in the featured games list. Once you do you will be brought to the official Moon Karts home-page. The screen you are on should look like the image pictured below.

Moon Karts Sign In Page
Are you on the right page? No, go back up to the start of our post and follow the instructions again. Yes, great lets continue. If needed click the Sign In image on the Moon Karts home-page. After doing so your page will update from the Sign In to the page pictured below. Take notice that the Sign In logo seen front and center of the above image has changed to Race Now as seen in the below image. I'm sure the next step is obvious but to put it in text form. Click the Race Now icon that is center page as shown below.

Moon Karts Race Now Page
Once you click Race Now you will be brought to a new page that will display a popup. This popup will request account action authority. If granted the account moonkarts.admin will be able to take the following actions on your behalf () open_pack () merge_nfts () stake_nfts () unstake_nfts. If you deny these authorities you will not be able to participate in Moon Karts. If you choose to Grant the authorities your screen will update to a wait screen while the site works its magic in the background. The message while you wait will read "Granting Authorities. Waiting For Blockchain Transaction To Complete". Once the game loads you can start your journey; Ready Set Race!

Note: Moon Karts won't work on 32 bit. I found that out the hard way while creating this post. I also just found out my laptop runs on 32 bit which I completely overlooked. No clue why I didn't install 64 bit when first setting it up. I now have to decide if I want to go through the process of updating or not. Looks like I will have to sooner or later as Microsoft 365 states that Apps on Windows Arm-based PCs: Security updates for the 32-bit edition will end in December 2026. New feature updates stopped in October 2025. Users must upgrade to the 64-bit edition for continued support. The same is true for anyone using Linux (Sometime in 2026 32 bit support will end). Getting back to Moon Karts: If you are trying to load Moon Karts/ Stake House Den on a 32 bit system you will be met with the following error code after waiting for the game screen to load.

abort({}) at jsStackTrace@https://moonkarts-assets.arcadecolony.com/build-production/Build/ build.framework.js:10:21786
stackTrace@https://moonkarts-assets.arcadecolony.com/build-production/Build/ build.framework.js:10:22049

This is the screen you will see after you hit Race Now on a 64 bit system. As you can see its empty. That is because you need NFT's to participate in core game-play. Trading for NFT's is an easy process and can be done on-site. All you need to do is hover over Market and select Moon Karts. This can be done from the Arcade Colony home-page. If you have Moon Karts already loading clicking the Market icon at the top of the Moon Karts home page will bring you back the Arcade Colony main page. It really is that easy folks!

Below you will see a screenshot or two of some Moon Kart assets. As you can see they are being traded for as low as $0.06 USD. These assets can be found in the official Market and in Moon Kart Packs (Official name of packs is Alpha Centauri). Moon Kart Packs have long been out of print and no longer available for purchase on the official Arcade Colony site but you can still get you hands on some (if you are lucky enough to do so). Those who hold Centauri packs are keen on keeping them for themselves and I certainly don't blame them for doing so. That being said you can try your luck by placing a purchase order for packs on Tribaldex (powered by Hive-Engine). Here is the direct link: https://tribaldex.com/trade/CENTAURI. Currently there is only one sale order listed at the price of 50 Hive Tokens per pack. At the 50 Hive per pack value there is only two available for trade. On the Bid side of the trade orders we can see the ask price of 10 Hive per pack for a total of 10 packs. If we scroll down to the last sold for section of the Centauri market we will see the last sold for Centauri pack traded for 14 Hive Tokens on the date of 10/15/2025. Like I said; those who have them want to keep them but as the saying goes: You miss 100% of the shots you don't take; put those orders up if you want to.

32 Bit Won't Work

Upon my research of trying to figure out why my new (to me) laptop wasn't loading Moon Karts I stumbled upon a post by a community leader here on the Hive Blockchain that goes into great detail about this very same topic (Getting started with Moon Karts): Moon Karts Alpha is Live! 25 CENTAURI Packs Opened + My First Race in Single Player Mode with my Legendary Kart! (ENG/ITA). That highlighted link is clickable and will take you to a post that details how to get started in Moon Karts. It goes further into detail sharing the pack opening experience and further details on what to do after loading the game. Looks like its back to the old faithful PC for my Moon Kart needs :) I'm not one for using mobile or tablets. I'm very much a PC or laptop guy.

In-fact I don't even own a cell phone. I been putting owning a cell phone off for a very long time. Recently I caved to a Bank that been offering me a line of credit for years. Looks like I will also have to cave to the Cell Phone companies soon as well as its getting near impossible to do anything online without one. SMS verification that/ SMS verification this, just let me use standard log in. 2Factor security systems are everywhere. What a pain. It wouldn't be so bad if they provide alternate security measures but its SMS/ text for 2factor or nothing. I had one heck of a time trying to get my Ebay account back open without using SMS verification. They no longer do direct calls (or at least they wouldn't do so for me) and only use SMS/text verification on the phone number linked to the account which for my account was defunct. Luckily I found my password saved in the back-end of my old computer.

My poker journey is still ongoing. I had some decent runs. Won a $109 ticket but busted in the game the ticket was for. Considering I made 0 deposits that is at least $109 worth of value won so far. I got some work to do as there were certainly some tournaments I could of played better in. I'll be creating a hive community or two after the New Year. I'm going to see if I can get some sponsored games for everyone. Partnering with poker sites is something I use to do before becoming a blogger on the Hive Blockchain. Putting such in action won't be for some months time. I got allot of work to do before such can be set up. First being I have to find out if there is any interest here on Hive for such a thing. Hopefully there is as I very much want to help put some fiat in everyone's pockets through the way of Freeroll Tournaments. Thats it for now. Thanks for visiting us. Using Hive Keychain for Arcade Colony is definitely the most secure way to manage those 'Grant Authorities' permissions

Moon Karts sounds like a fun mix of nostalgia and play-to-earn. Thanks for making the onboarding process easy to understand.
