Cover Removed (But Not Updated Yet) : Imprinted Image On My Plasma T.V. : Crypto-Shots Poker Is Today : Comment Rewarder Activated
Yesterday I detailed a post Cover Image Reverted Without Permission that discussed what the titled implied. Which was my header being reverted to an old one from years prior (or what most commonly refer to as the Cover located on the top of their blog). I had a small chat with a Hiven or Three and come to find out the same has happened to them. Others suggested it might of been some sort of node issue. In either-case or some other the events did happen. The header itself reverting isn't all that big of a deal but it does make a fellow wonder what other type of reverting is possible without notice and possibly by no fault of anyone's. This isn't to insinuate our wallets aren't safe; I believe they are as safe as they always were. I'm referring to the functionality and visual aspects of the apps we use here on the Hive Blockchain. For now I have opted to have no header on the Hive.Blog front-end and any other that I come to find out has my old header displayed. In the upcoming days; possibly even sometime today I will upload the one I desire to be there. The image file for the header I wanted shown was/is still loaded in the correct setting option but as is won't display. I bet the fix is as simple as re-uploading.
Imprinted Image On My Plasma T.V.
I have a Plasma T.V. and have so for awhile. It works great and as with most T.V.'s I can access the internet with it and thus my Hive Blockchain Blog. Yesterday as I sit in front of the old Boob-Tube (You must be old like me if you get that reference) I decided to do just that, visit my Hive Blog. Of course as I already noted my header was reverted and it has some color to it. For some reason or another the big green @rentmoney logo imprinted on my plasma T.V. so as I scrolled past my header to read content: in the middle of my TV screen displayed my Hive Profile name @rentmoney. It was transparent so I could still see behind it but the happening at the time did catch me off guard. As I continued to scroll the image started to fade until it was no more. Which was a relief but also slightly disappointing for some odd reason. So I did what any wise man would do stopped scrolling my blog in an effort to make sure my header doesn't permanently imprint. Yeah Right, @rentmoney did not do that at all. What @rentmoney did was try to recreate the event and I did. Not sure why but for some reason my Plasma T.V. does not like my header. Like the first time the imprint vanished after a minute or two of scrolling other webpages. Might be time for me to set up the theater system I purchased but never put up.
Crypto-Shots Poker Night
I been meaning to get back to playing poker and that venture is going to start with the Crypto-Shots crew. They host a game every Saturday at 3pm UTC. (Which is today). This post will go out around that time. Unfortunately this week I will not make it but I'm going to try and put my best foot forward and make it next week. I usually stroll the internet using a PC and don't have a cell phone (0 reception in my area: I know right). In truth I tried to be part of the no cell phone/ no credit card club and "cut the wires" some time ago with deciding to use streaming services like Netflix over a monthly satellite bill. For the most part that has unfolded nicely but as the days pass it gets harder and harder to neglect the importance of a cell phone and owning a credit card. Just about every app requires SMS verification or other types of verification that lend handy to cell phone convenience. Credit Cards also make deposits and cash-outs from Poker Sites a breeze so I suppose I should give in and get one of those to (it was bound to happen sooner or later, time to find one with good kickbacks). Most of that doesn't have much to do with Crypto-Shots but was just some not so random thoughts that came to mind as I was typing this. Allot of my posts are created that way or at least in portion created that way. Little thought to the words or context on what I'm posting about until I hit that create button.
Comment Rewarder Activiated
I have opted to utilize @commentrewarder for this post. What does that mean? Let your good pal @rentmoney tell you. CommentRewarder is a service on the Hive Blockchain that will help authors reward those who interact with their blog. To activate @commentrewarder on your created content all you need to do is add @commentrewarder as a beneficiary to your post creation. The beneficiary rate must be at least 3% if not you won't be able to utilize the CommentRewarder system. Once you do that CommentRewarder will then reward those who interacted with your blog post and have gotten a vote on their comment from the author. No vote from the author means no share of rewards. Did your comment get a downvote from the author? If so that also means no share of the rewards. Didn't get voted on by the author? That also means no share of the rewards. Only comments created in the first three days of post creation qualify for a share of the rewards distributed out by CommentRewarder on behalf of the author after post payout. That's it, that's all; the post has come to an end.
A little more info about CommentRewarder
Oh I should also mention that the vote weight that the author gives a comment directly impacts the share of "extra rewards" one might receive. For example if poster A gets a 1% vote and poster B gets a 2% vote from the author that would mean poster B will get double the added rewards in relation to poster A. I'll be handing out 1% votes to everyone who places a comment with substance. This will allow me to reward those who comment while giving my voting power a chance to replenish. The initial vote will show 0 rewards but at post payout CommentRewarder will send you something on my behalf. Thanks for reading. See you next time: same rent blog; same rent channel. The @rentmoney blog is for entertainment only. No financial advice has been given within this blog post or any other created by @rentmoney.
The logo that was temporarily imprinted on my Plasma TV can be seen below.
(Which is a snippet of the same logo I removed from my cover/header)
Now that I give it some thought... my profile photo used to be different. The photo I was using went away and I had to get another one. My issue was pretty easy to figure out though... I had linked to a photo on a website that went away. Now I link to a photo on my own PC. I only have internet at the house and stream whatever I watch. I use a low data phone option. Its pretty simple to keep data low. I try to only use data sucking apps on wi-fi at home.
That's a smart way of doing things.
I agree that it does make you think what else might be happening similar to the banner incident.
My thoughts instantly went to vote automation being reverted or paused on accounts.
