I don't think it is about luck, but definitely if you create a value post -and- you are premium subscriber, the chances of a post blowing up to a few dozens of LEO/HBD are definitely higher.

For premium subscriber, I get it, but talking about value post is off because it's the post that get read that can be judged as being valuable or not. I can confidently say that my posts are valuable and of top quality.

Again, I will say it's favor or luck, because the curators vote on who they find interesting, not because there are no other interesting writer or good posts.

Yes, luck is in the voter, but definitely posting quality content is the first needed step..
