Exploring Surrogacy: A Path to Parenthood?

“Surrogacy” is the most complex, critical, biological, and controversial word I have ever known. A baby is the most important and blessed aspiration of every couple. You won’t find a single couple who doesn’t want to be parents. A baby or child is the main bonding bridge between husband and wife, there is nothing to compare with that. To birth a child is a natural, biological, and normal practice in every family. In this increasing population, also a headache for the upcoming world, especially in some undeveloped, even developing countries. People are taking initiative for family planning, also governments of all countries are trying to control the birth rates. In these scenarios, we can see some couples who are not as well blessed as others; they are unable to have a child due to some biological inabilities, which is a big concern for them.

In some cases, husband or wife, or both, are not productive, and some people are overaged to bear a child; they are trying their best to have a child, which is not in their hands because of their inabilities and limitations. The medical science is now well developed, and has innovated a way to birth a child through surrogacy. Unfortunately, this surrogacy procedure is the most costly, complicated, and complex, even it is most controversial than its existence. Not all couples can afford the costs, which is not well accepted in our society, treated as unethical and not trustworthy. But rich people are taking this opportunity to be a parent or increase their number of children for some different reasons, and I’m not wishing to jump to find out or dig into the cause or reason for this surrogacy. As it is not approved by society, it is still in practice behind the hidden door in silence.

This is most important to find out how necessary surrogacy is for the person or the couple. Is it the only solution for them, or is the a perfect and trustworthy procedure? Where everything is done in a secret lab and no one knows the truth, it’s a blind trust, even if it is clinically proven. We should think and consider what the real identity of the surrogate child and surrogate mother will be. There is no clear concept; different peoples thinks it differently, but it has a biological history as described by doctors or scientists. When the surrogate child becomes will adult, what will be his or her perceptions of his birth history, will they be able to accept or understand, and are there any mental or physical problems? Who will answer their questions? And who gives you that permission to adopt surrogacy as a treatment, who are researching the surrogacy child and their entire life, what will be the role of a surrogate mother, does a surrogate mother get legal help as she desires, and who will be responsible for them? Is there any suitable answer for their question and their existence and acceptance in a good manner in society? There are so many questions, my religion also does not support this surrogacy at all. Surrogacy is too complicated and complex today; no one knows its future, although it is a great invention of medical science.

Regarding everything and any situation, I don’t like to adopt or be involved with this surrogacy at all. My concept is fully clean and clear about this surrogacy. In general, I have no answer for a surrogate mother and a surrogate child. I think it’s cruel behavior for a surrogate mother where people are taking advantage of their poverty or inabilities. This surrogacy has no legal identity and is not acceptable from an ethical perspective. For research and medical treatment for some special cases, it could be acceptable, but to bear a child, it is never a correct decision or procedure at all. You may think I’m a backdated man, then it’s also okay for me, but it is also a personal choice for a person. Everyone has their freedom to do whatever they want so, if someone wants to do it then it's their personal matter I've no comments.
