Nature’s Renewal: Embracing the Garden’s Post-Showers Glow.

If I say, I experienced what it feels like to be surrounded by the rainbow; this is probably the one I'm talking about.

When I stepped into my mother-in-law's rooftop garden, I was mesmerized by the tapestry of color. It was in full bloom during the rainy season. There were more than 30 variations of flowers in her garden and probably half a century of color hues!

From deep crimsons, soft pinks, and radiant yellows to calming whites; she got everything planted in her garden. The best thing is, they are thriving. Not just because of the rain but I have always seen her garden green, fresh, and colorful like this, in every season.

This place is not much, like a 1200sqf rooftop, all the plants are in pots and drums. There's no grass where you can walk. But you know what? This small place feels like an oasis of color in the city's chaos.

She has another small front yard garden but because of the city pollution, she usually grows vegetables and fruits there and flowers on this rooftop.

Each flower, kissed by rain made me feel connected to nature and its simple beauty.

The rain had already stopped, so I was giving some of the flowers a gentle shake the the raindrops falling with some leaves and petals too; this small thing made me so happy.

Allamanda

This yellow beauty was so full of flowers, it's drawing! There were many of them underneath and I have picked some to decor our room.

Something is comforting about this moment, surrounded by native blooms, full of colors and joy. The smell of fresh air mixed with the flowers made my visit much more enjoyable.

When I showed the photos to other family members and appreciated my mom-in-law's dedication, she was so happy. Especially, my father-in-law who can never visit the rooftop because of his knee issues was surprised to see the all beauty.

The feeling of an overwhelming sense of calm and appreciation for the beauty is what reconnects my city brain to nature.
