Venturing into Bengal Terracotta & Handicraft, a renowned shop in Dhaka, Bangladesh, was a delightful experience. Despite hearing much about it, my first visit exceeded expectations. The ambiance exuded an ancient charm, with terracotta displays complemented by bamboo and clay-made products!

The shop is located in the prime location of Tajmahal Road, Mohammadpur, Dhaka - the capital of Bangladesh. The shop boasted various handcrafted items, ranging from pots and pans to clocks, tableware, rugs, jewelry, and mirrors.

The sheer variety was overwhelming yet fascinating. Despite the intricacy of handcrafted goods, the prices were surprisingly reasonable, adding to the allure of the shop.

Among the treasures I discovered was a door hang made of clay, adorned with a unique pattern. Its 15-inch length added to its charm, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it priced at only 200 taka, approximately $2. This affordable yet intricately crafted piece left me delighted with my purchase.

Overall, my visit to Bengal Terracotta & Handicraft was a memorable one, and I left with a newfound appreciation for artisanal craftsmanship. With its diverse range of products, reasonable prices, and exquisite designs, it's a destination I look forward to revisiting in the future.

This reminded me of the place where I grew up, my mother and my aunt used to make clay pieces, they had moulds with attractive figures such as: plates, vases, fruits .... they also had a kiln and I still have it in a room of old things, I admire crafts and I know that behind each piece there are many hours of work.

Wow those look wonderful. There are a whole lot of designs, from animals, to plants, and even to coat of arms. There's something interesting in every picture. I think my favorite my be the different clock designs.

There are also many special pottery people in our country and they make very beautiful designs and the handi inside the pottery is very delicious. All these designs are very impressive.
