The first reason that came to my mind is "One can make money on Hive!!!"
It's not wrong though since 1 dollar is still 1 dollar - but I do know it's not a get rich quick scheme... But I think such "catchy" reasons can them tempt people to take a deeper look!

I also started because of the monetary incentive and then stayed for other reasons but I believe it's an important first reasons to learn about the blockchain...
