Splinterlands has been going through some phenomenon changes over the last couple of weeks. This has been nothing but amazing. A successful presale of new set of cards has been introduced, which is being immensely appreciated by the commuity. All new cards with all new abilities has been taking the community by surprise. I was able to witness some of the reviews from the OG Splinterlands players, their feedback has been positive so far. In fact, some of them are doing their best to get their hands on the most promising cards which are out in the market to complete their set of cards.

Since, the presale has ended we have moved towards the general sale. So far it is going in a smooth manner. In between that thrill, we were given another breaking news by the team. A new card is going to be introduced in the Splinterlands eco system. This card will have some unique abilities and the name of the card is probably which is making the most buzz. Yaba's Pickle is the name, which has been creating all the buzz across Splinterlands.

YABA'S PICKLE

• Price of Yaba's Pickle

The price of the card is 150 DEC or 150 Credits. Everyone will be able to get their hands on this card for 30 days once the card is up for sale.

The event will be an exclusive one. This will be held in shop of Splinterlands. There will be multiple ways to get your hands on this card. Yaba's Pickle will have Three Foil Editions. Regular Foil, Gold Foil and the Black Foil. The most expensive and ultra rare would be the Black Foil ones. The chance of getting this ultra rare Black Foil card would be 1 in 4000 and if you want to increase the probability of getting one in 2000 you would have to require 2000 midnight potions.

Three ways to obtain Yaba's Pickle

• Staking SPS in your Splinterlands account
• Purchasing a Gold Foil Ticket
• Participating in the Black Foil Arcane auction
  
  

DEC used in the sale will get a 50% Split to the DAO and the remaining 50% to Splinterlands. This will be one of the largest pickle shop, one will go through in the life span of Splinterlands and the community members of Splinterlands.

PICKLE RUNI

Before going any further lets talk about the term "PICKLE". The name pickle was probably going on for quite some time. As far as I can tell this originated from the RUNI sale. The only NFT collectible card of Splinterlands, which is available in ETH blockchain. AKA still available for purchase in ETH blockchain in Opensea. The card was so rare and the character in RUNI holding a pickle became so viral that it was taken up by the community and was cherished for a very long time. This card was so rare and it was wanted by many OG players to get their hands on it. But after overcoming each and every players of Splinterlands, the mighty Yaba got his hands on this card with a whopping 3 ETH during those times. Apparently ETH was quite expensive during that time as well. To this Yaba, has his hands on this card and still it is one of the most amazing and intriguing card in his Opensea Collection.

Now that the pickle name idea has been clarified, lets move onto the next stage of how to obtain Yaba's Pickle card.

• SPS Stakeholders : In the coming days the team will take a snapshot of all the SPS stakers within the game. Every player will be eligible, if they have over 1000 SPS staked in their account. To breakdown further, every 1000 SPS staked you will be eligible for one card. So more staked SPS you have, the more number of Yaba's Pickle will be awarded to you. So there is still chance to get as many Yaba as you want, just stake SPS in your account and you are good to go.

• Purchasing a Gold Foil Ticket : 50 GF Arcane Card of Yaba's Pickle is up for grab. After 7 days of the endimg of the sale this phase will begin. 1 Ticket purchased in this round, you will be eligible to get a Regular Foil Yaba's Pickle along with a raffle Ticket. Everyday 1 card will be given away. Cost of the ticket would be 200 Aura, 10 Vouchers and 200 DEC.

• Auction of 20 Black Foil Arcane Card : 1 card each day will be auctioned. Each auction will last 25 hours.
  
  

I do believe among all the three ways, I do believe the most exciting part will be one with auction. As we have seen how the whales gets excited to get their hands on limited edition cards or exclusive items in the game. It has happened in the past and it will get repeated once again. These 20 days (approx) will be the ones to look out for and to be honest each one getting sold will make the next one even more expensive.

I suppose these Pickles will probably be one of the most expensive pickles one will own in their entire life. Like, come on I own a pickle card which is worth thousands of dollars! This phrase alone will make countless people go crazy over the fact that I am meeting a nerd in real life lol!
