The $100 Million Cheque

Imagine you meet a billionaire who shows you a $100 Million with your name on it, and tells you that they are going to take this cheque and put it at another location, a very far location. But you have 72 hours to go to this location and search for the cheque. But if you are not able to reach this cheque by 72 hours, this cheque is going to get ripped in half. How would you act, the adrenaline in you will see it as a huge challenge and you will be so pumped to make sure you get to that check before 72 hours. First of all, $100 Million is a lot of money, it’s so much for you to think that the impossible is possible. All of a sudden you are thinking of all the possible ways you could get to that cheque, that is because, at that moment the cheque becomes your main goal.

What do you need to get to this location before 72 hours? You need money for transportation, you have to be ready at all cost, have enough money to take any means of transportation required to get to the cheque before 72 hours. Either by road or by air, it’s not going to come cheap, but you have to get there. Looking at the reward price, you will be willingly to get the money enough to get you to the cheque. You are obviously not going to need a $100 Million to get to the cheque, you are going to need far lesser, so at that moment you will be willing to risk borrowing money from anywhere or taking money from your savings to go there, to make sure you get the $100 Million cheque before 72 hours. If you get the cheque before 72 hours, you will be so rich, you won’t need to worry about money again. But if you don’t find it before 72 hours, a part of you will feel the risk was worth it.

This is what it feels like having a goal, you imagine that reward is in front of you and you work really hard to make sure you get that cheque. Some of us lose focus and become blind towards seeing that $100 Million cheque, this is where you see people not having a direction in their lives any more because they can’t see a reward or a drive to make them chase that reward which is a very bad thing to happen to a man’s life. Losing focus and not having the believe that there is a guaranteed cheque in from of you can be really bad, now imagine it and put in the work to try to get that cheque. Sometimes we might not get the $100 Million reward as expected, we might get less far less, but at the end of the day, we enjoyed the journey and the process that got us there.
