Don’t Start Small, Start Today
There is a cliche saying that says, always start small, which is right to some extent because depending on the context you are saying it from, starting small might just be a waste of time. Let’s use building a website as an example, remember when Twitter, Facebook and other website started, they started small right? Well in their own way and time that was small, but today will that be considered small? That would be considered a waste of time because of the aesthetic and where the world is today. The first Facebook website looked like this:

If you want to start learning how to build a website, a social media platform or whatever, you won’t start like that, you will start in a way to correlate with today’s aesthetic right? That’s because, you didn’t technically start small, you started today. If you wanted to start small in the website term by starting with the ancient type of internet like the ones Facebook and Twitter started with, you would have started small in the internet technological point of view but you would have successfully wasted your time because that is not what we are using today.
Let’s use getting a car for example, if you wanted to get a car today, as a first time car owner, you would get a very nice modern cheap upto date car right? May be getting a 2020 Toyota if you can afford it because it cost about $10k even though you are worth $100k. The reason you might want to start with that is because you want to learn how to drive and have some experience in driving before you buy a more expensive pricey car. This will reduce cost of maintenance just incase compared to getting the more pricey one. But that doesn’t mean that even though you can afford the pricey one you will end up buying a 1970 Toyota worth $1,500 with a lot of problems.
A 1970 Toyota with a lot of problem at that price will frustrate you and end up wasting your time, technically buying it at that price means you have started small right? But did it waste your time? Yeah, so get a better version and start today. Starting today technically means you have started small. You have small experience with what you have started.
