Beware Of Twitter Promoting Airdrops Accounts

This seasons seems like the season of airdrops, as most projects are launching with airdrops to help promote and build their communities. The crypto scammers and hackers have decided to use this opportunity to update their scamming skill. They use this method to hack their victims, especially newbies who are extremely new to the crypto and airdrop game.twitter is the platform to go to when you want to get most of the latest details about crypto. One of the requirements for running a crypto project is to have a twitter account, where you can post updates and interact with your community.

Some of these airdrop tasks involves tagging friends for more exposure, most times I tag my friends and I tell them after tagging them just so they can be sure they are clicking the right link, so if you get tagged by your friend on twitter to click a link, its advisable to reach out to them and ask them just so you are sure they were the one sending you the link. Because, their account could get hacked, this hacker can read their chats and see who they interact more with when it comes to crypto and use the opportunity to send you phishing links so they can hack your wallet. So always ask your friends who tag you on a link to be sure, to be safe ask them on a different social media or call them on the phone. If the hacker can hack their twitter and send you a phishing link, they can also claim they sent it to you through the DM if you ask them through the DM to know if they sent the link.

This is for mutual friends, but in a case where you find yourself getting tagged to a random airdrop, asking you to participate by clicking the provided link, for your wallet and asset safety, ignore the person, or better still block them. They are going to keep tagging and sending you airdrop links, they are spammers and they will spam. But don’t forget to not click any link. Block them and ignore them. I have fallen victim to this before, but I had only $3 in my wallet, so that was all they took.
