Getting Back To Crypto's Roots

ROOTS.png

Ever get the feeling that crypto has become too much about the money?

Like I remember when I began my journey into this space it was more so about something out there, something exciting, something fundamentally different to what seemed to be playing out in the real world.

Maybe that's just me? I don't know.

Crypto was about journeying out into a new frontier; somewhere where no man has gone before. A new way of life. A new monetary system for the people, by the people.

What did we all do?

We fucked it all up.

Yeah, we pretty much did.

Look around you. What do you see? Meme coins that have a shelve life of two days if they are any good, and a couple of hours if they are bad. A system that sucks wealth from the dreamers and into the pockets of the statists.

A system that's fundamentally broken to the core. A system the preys on the hopes of many and lays waste to them in a field of broken dreams.

I am of course talking about the institutional power that's slowly creeped into the cryptosphere over the last eight years. It's been slow, but as more of it has creeped in then the more regular retail has suffered.

Institutional power can weave market making bots that rake in incredible amounts of money over the market 24/7 -- and the people that suffer because of this are you and me.

Dreams are being crushed, and it seems as if the cryptosphere has accepted the status quo. It's almost like at some point along the time line we've thrown our hands up in frustration and went, "Oh I guess we'll just roll with this then."

It is of course the same when institutional power started creeping into social media. At the beginning there was incredible opportunities for small creators to make a good income from their audience

But that ladder has been pulled up now.

It is now incredibly hard to gain any traction at all -- unless of course you do something "really" out there.

Annoyingly some creators have worked out that hate clicks are still clicks and have resorted to filling their audiences full of anger -- something I do wonder if quite a lot of people are getting addicted to.

You can get addicted to almost anything, even hate. And hate is a very powerful driving motivator -- that's why the dying mainstream media are selling us crazy stories right now, rather than just easy reading.

And because of all this humanity at its core is beginning to stop dreaming.

It's a sad state of affairs. We have sort of fallen of the edge of creativity and fallen into the abyss of routine and normalcy.

Charles Darwin did not just map out evolution, he dared to dream a little too.

He dared to question facts about his time and reality that the world was not ready for. Only after his death did they realise the magnitude of what he discovered.

His face now the embodiment of our ten pound note.

Isaac Newton the same, dared to dream about gravitational components of celestial bodies, mapping out the entire thesis of gravity, much of his work standard learning in physics today.

Bitcoin was an incredible leap out into the unknown.

A financial system that solves some of the hardest questions we've known to man. The creator, quite understandably unknown, because their work undermines the US Dollar, and we all know what happens to people that try and do that.

So where has the innovation been since then?

It's almost like we have stagnated into oblivion. Stuck in a weird loop of sending our cash straight to the casino's house.

The house being the institutions, and the casino the cryptosphere.

Sort of feels like it at the moment I'll not lie.

I got into crypto to grow my wealth, not see it be slowly whittled away.

But fear not, young reader!

There's so much going on under the hood of crypto right now if you look underneath the surface then it's a super exciting time to be alive.

If you look at what @vitalikbuterin has been up to, it seems like ETH is going back to their core fundamentals; what they began for in the first place. To grow people's wealth.

And he's been encouraging businesses and people to work together to create that vision for the future. It seems like he's been doing that with all EVM chains.

If you look into what @MagicNewton are doing, trying to unify blockchains, which further explores that vision; there's a lot going on behind the hood.

There's a lot being built that's not being said.

And I feel it deep within that this is just the beginning. All of us here, yes, you reading this, we're early. We will be the building blocks to a brighter future.

A future where regular joe has so much more economic power.

It's coming, and it will be beautiful.

And it's easy to build, because those institutional powers that hoard wealth were built on that entire premise, and don't understand the power of the individual.

They just don't, or at least I can't see it because they would do it differently if they knew.

But soon, economic power is being distributed back to the individual, and it's going to be glorious.

Buckle up people. 2025 and beyond is going to be amazing.

Peace :)

Crypto still sounds so interesting to me and it isn't only for money for me. I know there is a lot to learn there. Have a nice day my friend.
