“To tell a lie is a great sin,” I heard this most ethical sentence in my childhood, and I still carry that ethic in mind as much as possible. Telling the truth has always been harder than telling a lie easily. Sometimes the truth brings some unwanted consequences, which are never good for the speaker. Also, sometimes the truth is not trustworthy than a lie, because a lie brings more witnesses and supporters along with lie. Sometimes, truth can explore your path near death, where lies can save your life. Lying is so easy and trustworthy to others, where your truthfulness has no meaning. People will curse you even when you are telling the truth. Truth is always harsh, but ethical, but the outcome of truth is not hopeful. Even in the family, lies are always preferable to the truth. If you tell the truth in front of family members, then most of the time your family won’t believe that; they will take it as you are telling a lie, no one is there to believe you. Sometimes it’s because of the effect of your previous lie, or sometimes you have been proven by other members that you lied, which is why no one wishes to believe in your truth. In the real world truth truth-telling is really a big headache, and most difficult to prove the truthfulness of your telling. On the other hand, telling a lie is easier, and also easier to make others understand that you are telling the truth, even if it was a lie.

In business, if you tell the truth to your customer, then the customer will treat that as a lie, because most businesses run under the lie, in the customer’s mind. Sometimes, if you tell the truth, you will lose the business. But there are also some examples in business that are running well with the truth. You often find in the markets where the discount is going on, some shopkeepers are giving a 70% discount on their goods. Is that trustworthy? If you are considering that they are telling the truth, then it is proven that they are losing, but in the normal way, who wishes to incur a loss in their business. If not, then they were profiting on those goods was 70%, which statement is trustworthy. The shopkeeper is hiding the truth, and they are using a pure lie throughout their discount selling, which is not seen with an open eye. We often find that the shop sells better when the discount is on than the fixed price-oriented shop. Here I’m not assuring that the fixed-priced oriented shops are telling the truth, they are also cheating the customer under their brand name or by providing a poor quality. Truth and lies are like a spell in the business. As I’m a businessman man I’ve even seen successors in business who frequently tell lies to their customers. But gaining the trust of customers always comes from the truth, and truthfulness in business is always workable, maybe it will cause some delay, but sooner or later, you will achieve success by telling the truth in business.

We can see that lies are lying everywhere in every work, even in family life, where liars are achieving success by telling lies frequently. It seems that lying will be the most acceptable ethic somehow today or near future. Which is not true, because truth has its ethics and the power to sustain itself long. The lie can get success for a short time but but life lifetime of a lie is too short. Like a dark cloud can cover the sun for a short time, but after a while the sun will come out, truth is like that, like the sun, always be powerful and everliving. All of us should accept the truth in our lives and throw the lie out of our lives.
