The Noble Act of Donation: A Life-Saving Virtue
Donation has always been a good practice and a great virtue for mankind in society. A donation has a huge potential for mankind, which can recover and source food protection, living necessities, medical treatment, and support for vulnerable situations after a disaster. Every person in society should donate regularly as per their ability, even if it is in a small amount, such as a piece of bread or a piece of cloth, or a penny. Which could change the life or help someone who is taking a donation. The probation of thinking that rich people are only able to donate to the poor or needy people is not true. Anyone can donate and could be a part of great virtue, there is no classification of rich and poor. Your goodwill is enough to donate to someone.
When it comes to donating a vital organ from your body to someone else who badly requires that organ to live, and it is a matter of life and death, always treat this type of donation as a noble work behind all the other donations. It is not so easy to donate vital organs to others in this living life, even after death. We have seen in recent history that some noble people have donated their vital organs after their death, which they announced during their lifetime. Donating a vital organ after passing death is a great virtue, no doubt at all, but in the present life, to donate a vital organ to others is not an easy task. Where donors are also is in risk of donating their vital organs to others during this transplantation or after the transfer, as we have seen in some cases. But when it’s about family members, then nothing can be an obstacle against donating a vital organ to a family member, especially for the life partner or for the children. If you find that your child is in a critical condition and the child's organ is not working or has been damaged permanently and badly, required immediate organ transplant is required, then who could wait or think, you will donate that vital organ instantly, even if it is a big risk for your life. If this type of situation occurred in my life for my daughter, where a vital organ is required badly, then I would like to donate all my organs to my daughter, even if I’ve to die for that organ transplant.
Sometimes we can find that addicted people are losing their organs or failing because of their addiction, maybe drug addicts, alcohol addicts, even cigarette addicts, and badly require a vital organ transplant, and require organ donation. After getting a donation, they didn’t mend their way and are still in those addiction, which is a big concern for the donor. Donors always donate their vital organs at their life risk and wish to see a better future for the organ receiver, but if they return to their addicted life again, which is a big disappointment, donner sacrifice is of no meaning to the recipient. Donner always thinks twice about this type of vital organ transplant for addicted people, which is normal. But donating a vital organ has always been a great virtue, and the expectation from this donation should be prohibited. From my perspective, I would like to donate my vital organ to my family member even after knowing that they will return to their addicted life after recovering, as it is a matter of life and death. My only approach to save their life by this vital organ donation; nothing else!
