The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan: Bittersweet and Beautiful - Review
The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan
Hello everyone, today I will be reviewing an anime which is underrated and I have barely seen any reviews on this anime. Also, it has unique concept and I hope that you guys will definitely like it. It's not the best but it's a good one to pass your time. The anime is called The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan. That's a long name I know and they obviously has a reason to keep thing long name. I bet some of you never heard of this anime because it's not popular. So, let's begin.
I could not find any official trailer of it on YouTube, I have found this anime randomly while searching for anime which includes summer festival and that's how I got to know about this anime. But I am sharing their song with you guys, probably you guys will like it. The song is nostalgic it reminds me of old time songs. It felt like my childhood memories are coming back to me.

Season: 1
Episode: 16

! [SPOILER ALERT!]
Plot
Yuki Nagato is a shy and soft-spoken high school girl. She's a member of the North High Literature Club. She has a crush on her classmate—his name is Kyon. He usually comes to the clubroom and has become an important part of Nagato's daily life. The story follows Nagato's interactions with her friends. Meanwhile, she struggles with her feelings for Kyon, as it's her first love.
In the middle of the story, Nagato suffers a head injury. A personality shift is seen in her—she becomes emotionless. This event affects Kyon’s feelings, and the story then focuses on Nagato's personal development, including her journey of friendship and romance. There is a bit of humor and emotional warmth.
In the 16th episode, which is the last episode of season 1, Nagato goes to the summer festival with her friends, and everyone is wearing a yukata. Her friends try out games such as goldfish scooping. In this game, the players use a thin paper scooper to scoop goldfish from a pool of water and can take those fish as a reward. Kyon appears at the same place and finds Nagato beside him, having apple candy. It is seen that he is bothered by something but cannot speak up.
Nagato moves to the place where her friends are playing the goldfish scooping game, and she also tries to play but is unable to catch any fish. On the other hand, it is shown that Kyon is frustrated about not being able to confront his feelings—he feels like a coward. He shares this with the girl beside him, who is his friend, and they both talk about how Nagato has changed and that she's not the same person anymore.
Finally, Kyon gathers the courage and goes to Nagato. He grabs her by the arm, and they move away from the place, disappearing into the crowd.
Kyon takes her to a spot where there is no crowd. The fireworks have already started in the background. Kyon talks about her confession and says he's confused about why she loves him, because he doesn’t see anything special in himself. Later, he confesses that he has fallen for Nagato. Kyon also tells her that he will never stop liking her.
He is holding her hand, and Nagato is blushing at the situation. After a while, he asks her if she heard what he was saying. Nagato says she didn’t hear it, which makes Kyon feel relieved, as it was hard for him to confess—he had been battling with himself.
In the end, as they are leaving the place, Kyon compliments Nagato's yukata, which makes Nagato blush again. They return to their friends and tease each other. In the final scene, we see their vacation has ended, and they are back to their regular lives.
Review
The anime was totally overwhelming. There are many things that I haven’t revealed in my review because I want to keep things exciting for my readers. For those who will watch it for the first time, after seeing too many spoilers might ruin the beautiful experience. But still, I have already spoiled a lot. Anyway, I had a warning in the first place, so I hope everyone did read at their own risk.
The visuals are great even though it's an old anime, released in 2015—so I think the animation was good, not that bad as I had thought. One thing I noticed that they didn’t put much effort into the background characters; only the main characters has received the detailed attention in animation. I liked the character development which was relatable somehow. I could feel both Nagato and Kyon's place what they went through was really hard.
If you have free time and nothing to watch, then you can watch this anime it has a good storyline. Only 16 episodes so it won't bore you out, but you might feel the addiction towards it. As I finished watching this anime in just 2 days. It was a good journey I have enjoyed every episode. I went through many emotions when I watched this anime. I feel people would like it very much.
The pictures are from screenshots, while I was watching the anime I took screenshots.

Thanks for Reading
