The squirrel insulates its home 🐿️

🐿️ The red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris), also called Eurasian red squirrel

Honestly, I would probably even single out urban squirrels as a separate subspecies. They are not particularly burdened with anything, people feed them constantly, they have nothing to worry about. But wild squirrels are forced to survive in the wild, where there are many dangers and they need to get at least some food.

I met this squirrel in the photo in the forest in October. I sat on a log and watched her. She was climbing down from a tall pine tree, picking moss and climbing back up with this bunch of moss. She was using this moss to insulate her home to survive the cold winter.
