SMaP 198 - Bird And Food
I would like to say thank you to dear @nelinoeva for this competition.
You can find the announcement and rules here.
This week's theme is - BIRD AND FOOD

The rubythroat caught some small caterpillar in the bushes.

Bullfinch, male. These beautiful plump creatures love to get the seeds out of rowan berries.

Bullfinch, female. In very cold weather these birds like to eat fatty ash seeds. And this female was so hungry that she tore off a piece of the branch.

Siberian Shrike. I saw this bird on the hillside, and this tough guy caught some insect. But his main food is rodent meat, of course.

In cold winter months, black woodpeckers also eat rowan berries.

This starling was very quick in catching white fat caterpillars from under the ground, and he collected several of them, obviously for nesting.

The oriental nightingale was catching insects at the cemetery.

A grey warbler caught a caterpillar in the thickets.

This young woodpecker studies a pine cone. As winter approaches, he will have to put his skills in extracting seeds from cones into practice.

The fieldfare eats rowan berries, a typical picture in autumn and winter.

The black-throated thrush, like the fieldfare, also feeds on rowan berries.
