Chipmunk stockpiles food 🐿️

The Siberian chipmunk (Eutamias sibiricus), also called common chipmunk

I met this furry friend at an old cemetery on the way to the forest. In this place you can also meet different birds and small animals. We have a tradition of leaving various treats on the graves like candy, cookies, etc. And apparently the local animals really like it.

It was the end of October, just before their hibernation. Therefore, these rodents are most active at this time, as they need to have time to make as many food reserves for the winter as possible. After all, in the middle of winter they sometimes wake up to relieve themselves and eat.
