🦉 The long-tailed tit or long-tailed bushtit (Aegithalos caudatus)

From a distance, these adorable birds look like a white ball with a tail sticking out. Indeed, their tail is about twice the size of their body.
It's easy to spot them in the forest. They always move through the forests in groups, or these same groups are found with other birds. But this is exclusively in the fall and winter. In the spring, the birds live in pairs, and in the summer, after the birth of their young, they are practically invisible and unheard.

They feed on small insects and their larvae. In autumn, around September, while the weather is warm, aphids appear in abundance in forests and cities, and these birds happily eat them. But in winter, there are no insects, and these birds cannot crush hard nuts and seeds like tits and nuthatches. Therefore, they feed on small seeds or scurry under bird feeders in parks, where they eat crumbs left by other birds.
