π¦ The European robin (Erithacus rubecula)
- Erithacus erithakos (Greek) unidentified small bird in
the works of ancient authors; erythros (Greek, lat.) red- rubecula ruber (lat.) red, reddish, rubeculus diminished. by ruber

These small, neat birds arrive at the end of April, when spring is already approaching. I've encountered them in an old cemetery, in mixed forests, and near a forest plantation by the riverbank. Overall, this bird is considered a shrub-dwelling bird.

They are very attracted by their light, melancholic, leisurely song. The male performs it calmly while sitting on a branch, but if another male appears in his field of vision, they begin to compete and try to perch on a higher branch.
