🦉 The yellowhammer (Emberiza citrinella)

These yellow birds are sedentary, but in my region it is too cold in winter, so in the fall they prefer to move somewhere to the western or southern regions, where it is warmer.
Well, with the arrival of spring, they appear early in the forests, when there is still a lot of snow and the weather is still cool.

Its habitats are forest edges, clearings, glades; in general, these are mostly relatively open spaces.
Their diet consists primarily of cereal grains and grass seeds. During the breeding season, the bird also eats small insects. Nestlings are usually fed a mixed diet, with parents initially feeding them fragmented food in their crops, and later whole food.
