🦉 The Siberian blue robin (Larvivora cyane)
- Larvivora - Latin: larva caterpillar, vorare - to devour
- cyane - dark blue

Siberian - yes, robin - no. We call this bird the "Blue Nightingale." By its raised tail and long legs you can guess that it is a nightingale. This species is classified as a separate genus https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larvivora .

Incidentally, this species is very, very rare in my region; I've only encountered these birds twice. Specifically, this particular fellow was in the bushes of an old cemetery among abandoned graves
It took a lot of effort to get these photos. It was difficult to squeeze through the dense undergrowth, and the bird itself is very shy.
