๐Ÿฆ‰ The Eurasian siskin (Spinus spinus)

  • Spinus spinos (Greek) unidentified bird mentioned Aristotle and other ancient Greek. authors.

I meet these inhabitants of coniferous forests in the spring. They seem to fly to the forest closest to my house to spend the mating season there and then fly away. Although in this forest, which is mixed, there is a place where tall coniferous trees grow, and in this area, walking in the summer, I hear the characteristic voices of these birds.

As autumn approaches, birds begin to gather in large, noisy flocks. They fly through the forests, landing on birch trees to eat the seeds from birch catkins.
