Birdwatching - 3144 🐦

🦉 The common starling or European starling (Sturnus vulgaris)
- Sturnus lat.: sturnus starling, sturninus speckled, spotted
- vulgaris (lat.) well-known, ordinary

These birds have a very interesting coloring, they are black with a green and purple metallic sheen, and a bright yellow beak. Despite the fact that these birds are considered not to be shy and settle near people, in my city for some reason they are rarely seen, and only in the spring.

They arrive early, they can even arrive when there is still snow. And in the summer they seem to disappear somewhere. In the summer I met them only in the meadows, in small groups.

Люблю скворцов, самый любимый птах был в детстве.
В Калининграде их нащелкал, их там много в парках.

A very nice photographic captures you have achieved of that starling. Well... Looks like they are two different ones, or am I wrong? I see one more blue and one purple.
I also liked that you were able to photograph the bird feeding. It seems that in your city they feel they have to be shy hahaha....
Hi! Yes, they are different, from two different places.
