π¦ The Siberian stonechat or Asian stonechat (Saxicola maurus)
- Saxicola (lat ): saxum rock, stone, -cola inhabitant
- maurus (lat.): Moorish, black

These birds are easy to see when walking in spring or summer through meadows and fields. It's all about their one behavioral feature - their love of sitting on the tops of grass and thickets. In this way, they watch over their territory and family.

When birds see any danger, they begin to communicate it to each other.
Males are black with a bright orange underside, while females are brown with a light, barely visible orange spot.
