🦉 The brambling (Fringilla montifringilla)
- Fringilla (lat.) Finch; fi nco (old German)
- montifringilla lat .: mōns, montis mountain, mountain range

Everyone is familiar with the Chaffinch, and these birds are their close relatives. However, unlike the Chaffinch, these birds do not have such a luxurious beautiful song, they only buzz loudly. In the forests of my city they are not very numerous, I would even say that they are not often encountered and only in the spring during the mating season. They are quite timid, getting closer to them is difficult.

They mostly live in coniferous forests, that's where I often see them. You can even tell by their coloring. Pay attention to the second photo. The bird, thanks to its coloring, blends in perfectly with the tree branches.
