π¦ The common redstart (Phoenicurus phoenicurus)
- Phoenicurus Greek: dark red phoinix, oura tail

These bright birds arrive in spring, around the end of April. The males sing actively, court the females, who are not so easy to notice at this time, unlike the males. But in general, the birds behave timidly and fly away as soon as they realize that you are approaching them.

But when these birds have offspring, it changes everything. As soon as you pass by or enter the territory where there is a nest or fledglings, the male flies up to you and starts twitching his tail and in every way trying to attract attention to himself. And then he slowly leads you away from his family.
