🦉 Blyth's reed warbler (Acrocephalus dumetorum)

  • Acrocephalus Greek: acros upper, pointed, kephale head
  • dumetorum lat .: dumetum thicket, thickets, dumus thorny bush

This modest, sparrow-sized creature is painted the same color as dry stems and nettles - not a hint of bright spots. It is not easy to see, if only because it constantly hides in the leaves of a bush. But it is very easy to hear! Fast trills, clicks and whistles merge into a virtuoso stream. The bird, like a DJ, mixes the voices of other birds with its own.

They live in mixed forests and open spaces such as fields, meadows, clearings. However, in recent years they have increasingly begun to settle right in the city courtyards. The main thing is that there are bushes there.
