πŸ¦‰ The common redstart (Phoenicurus phoenicurus)

  • Phoenicurus Greek: dark red phoinix, oura tail

This bird is smart, neat, with a bright orange-red tail, which it constantly twitches, making it seem like there is a small moving fire in front of you. Males are especially beautiful: a black head and back, and that very lively, warm tail. Females are less contrasting - grayish-brown, but also with a hint of red in the tail.

These birds appear towards the end of April, when warm, comfortable weather has already set in and insects have appeared. This concerns forests, if we talk about city courtyards (where they also live in small numbers), then this happens already in May.
