Birdwatching - 3034 🐦

🦉 The common chaffinch or simply the chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs)
- fringilla (lat.) - finch; fi nco (Old German), fi nc (Old English)
- coelebs coelebs (lat.) - single, idle, unmarried

These birds are true messengers of spring. They arrive early, among the first, when there is still a lot of snow in the forests, but it is just beginning to melt. And having arrived, they immediately announce themselves loudly: their song is carried throughout the entire forest or park.

But the males always arrive first, and then about a week later the females arrive.
Having formed a pair, the birds begin to build a nest by collecting various building materials. It is worth noting that these birds can be polygamous, and the male can live in several families at the same time.
