These modest beautiful birds appear in the forests of my city at the end of April, if of course the snow has almost melted and the weather is consistently warm. Although, these fragile birds are quite frost-resistant, and in exceptional cases (illness, inability to migrate) can winter in warm regions. There were times when I met them at the end of October, when, in theory, all the insectivorous birds had long since flown away.

It feeds mainly on insects, but in the cold season of spring and autumn it can feed on berries, fruits and seeds.
In my city this bird is not numerous, and it can be found in cemeteries, in mixed forests near water sources.
