The road behind the horizon

Life is full of challenges, different ups and downs that people face every day, yet there hasn't been any solution to it. There are several opportunities and lessons to learn daily. Every individual has a path to walk, but what differentiates us is the dreams that fuel our steps and the success we achieve in the long run. The life we live, the dreams we had, and how we successfully achieve our aims are pointers to whether we are successful or not.

Every human born into this world has a dream. There is a particular goal everyone dreams of or wishes to achieve in their journey in life. Fortunately, some were able to pull through all hurdles and can say "Yes I made it", while some are still struggling to make that dream come to pass. While some die without fulfilling all their set goals. As a child, I had dreams too, dreams of who I wanted to become and where I wanted to be before a certain age. As humans, I guess we can only plan. God has the power to fulfill all our wishes, but sometimes we don't know what's best for us; we just have to align with the plan of God to be successful.

I've always loved being in the medical field right from childhood. My dream was to become a medical doctor; it might seem too common because that's every child's dream. I started working towards my dream, chose a science class in my secondary school just to make sure I had a head start on my journey into the medical field. After secondary school, gaining admission became a thug of war and the passion to study medicine began to die. I never wanted to give up, and I decided to change my route to study nursing, due to one reason or another, which didn't work out as expected, but I never gave up. I went for auxiliary nursing, and I'm glad I did, even though some see it as not relevant. This wasn't my initial dream, though I changed it, but I'm glad I'm still in the medical field, and I'm glad I never gave up, even though there was a lot of pressure and discouragement from those whom I see as a shoulder to lean on.

Another dream I have and am still pursuing is to have my own clothing brand. This is something I've always wanted to do, create my brand, bring out the perception of life through clothing. This led me into the clothing business, which I've been in since 2022. Though I haven't gotten to where I wanted to be but I'm glad I'm working towards it. The main reason behind any job is to get paid or get a reward, and that's why as humans, we are all striving daily to make ends meet and live a successful life.

IS FINANCIAL FREEDOM A SUCCESS?

Financial freedom and stability aren't bad ideas, but they don't define success, or should I say our definition of success differs. Financial freedom means not being controlled by debt, having enough savings and income streams, and the ability to make life's choices without being limited by money. With these points, financial freedom is success because it represents stability, independence, and security. To be more realistic, success is broader than just money. Someone might be financially free but yet unfulfilled if they lack health, meaningful purpose, and relationships. So financial freedom is like one pillar of success and not the whole building. Can money be enough? That's the question but if I may answer sincerely, money is never too much because the rich want to be richer while the poor want to be rich.

Success is a continuous pattern, even the people we regard to as successful aren't satisfied with their level of success, they want more so there is no time time to say one has reached the limit of being successful. Without continuous work to sustain that success story and remain at the top, such a person will crash, crumbling down the ladder of success, which makes it very difficult to determine the time of maximum success rate. After achieving the set goals, other goals will surely arise, and that makes life continuous. A successful person uses their dreams to inspire, solve problems, and make life better for others. Life provides the platform, dreams give the vision, it serves as a driving force, while success is the reward. Without life, there is no opportunity, without dreams, there is no motivation, and without success, there is no fulfillment.
