Physical health tips mostly being ignored

Physical health goes beyond exercising and eating a balanced diet. There are many other health tips that we ignore for one reason or another. Many of us focus on eating a balanced diet and exercising, even though we still don't practice these two tips. Living healthy is very important to function as humans, which means it is essential to take care of one's health and take into consideration every necessary health tip for healthy living. In this post, I will be discussing three physical health tips that are mostly being ignored.

Firstly, maintaining a consistent sleep schedule. Most people know that sleep is essential yet they go against the rule of healthy sleep. Sleeping helps in lots of ways, and as a health practitioner, I can testify to that even though I am guilty of violating the rule of sleep at times. When you sleep is as well as important as how long you sleep. Our body system works 24 hours 365 days a day, and on these days, many have few hours of sleep. You will hear them say, "That's how their body operates; they don't sleep much," not knowing the damage they are causing to their brain. The body operates in a circadian rhythm, which regulates several functions in the body, such as hormone release, digestion, and temperature. What most of us don't know is that inconsistency in sleeping can disrupt this rhythm, leading to fatigue, lack of concentration, and weakened immunity. Many believe in quantity, but sometimes, quality and consistency are all that matter.

I have people around me who go to bed very late overshooting 24 hours into another day. With little or no quality sleep, all in the name of hustling(working hard) to make ends meet, but the end breaks down when the body can no longer take the stress. The brain would have been overworked. Recently, I've been having difficulty sleeping, and that's because I sleep late and wake early. My body is reacting badly to this, and I can tell that all I need is quality and consistent sleep. Irrespective of what you do, try as much as possible to have quality sleep at all times to improve the proper functioning of the brain and the body as a whole.

Secondly, staying properly hydrated beyond water. Many people are guilty of this, and it's been ignored a lot. This is the simplest health tip to practice, but why is it so difficult to do? We've been told severally that a glass of water in the morning will do a lot of good to our body by detoxifying our bowels and making the body lighter and ready to take on the day's activities, yet that seems like a war for some to do. Staying hydrated with water alone isn't enough, though; one needs to balance body electrolytes, too. During exercise or excessive sweating due to heat, one needs to replace the body electrolytes lost in the process and water alone cannot do this. Incorporating natural sources of electrolytes like bananas and leafy green vegetables will go a long way. Many people ignore this because they believe water is the only thing needed to stay hydrated and even this water, many don't drink as much as it's required daily. When one is dehydrated, symptoms like headache, fatigue, muscle cramps, and even dizziness are inevitable.

Thirdly, exercising and taking regular movement breaks. Some go about with the notion that the gym is for rich people and those who want to reduce weight. This is not so; the gym is for everybody; Although it is quite expensive in some areas and not everyone can afford it, keeping fit doesn't necessarily require going to the gym. There are simple and regular exercises that one can do at home to keep fit and stay healthy. Many people's jobs require them to sit all day in one position with no movement for hours, which is not good enough. Prolonged sitting at times can increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Making it a habit to stand, stretch, walk around for 30 to 60 minutes every day. This helps maintain circulation, reduce stiffness, and improve overall energy levels throughout the day. These physical health tips shouldn't be ignored to achieve a healthy lifestyle.

Consistent sleep schedule... I'm guilty of this. I admit. 😩

Wow. So being hydrated is beyond taking just water 🤔🤔

Seriously, I agreed with all your point, most especially, that of sleeping well and even staying hydrated. Thank for sharing.
