My favorite movie of all time

Movies are watched for entertainment and also for teaching. There are times when movies teach real-life lessons that one can apply in one's life; they serve as guidance, which, when applied, is about success and happy living, although we have lost such values in our home movies today. Nowadays, they promote nothing less than immoralities and evil acts, which are leading youngsters astray. Many of these movies are being promoted in cinemas and across all social media where they can be easily accessed, but then no laws have been legislated to curb the release of such movies.

I desist from watching my country's home movies because I don't feel good about their storylines and the entire directing of the movies. Sometimes, I expect some of the educated among our actors and actresses to put them right, but no, they are all after the gain they will receive in producing such movies, and it is deteriorating daily, but that is a discussion for another day. I am a lover of K- drama (Korean) movies and Hollywood (american) movies. I watch more of their movies than any other, why because it is entertaining and has a good storyline with wonderful characters depicting their roles perfectly with good production.

If I had to choose from my Hollywood movies, I'm sure I have more than enough favorites, but then "The Unit" remained my forever favorite movie. I don't know if anyone has seen that movie, it's about military men who had to serve their country at all costs and protect the lives of other citizens at the expense of their families. They couldn't be the husbands their wives wanted them to be nor the fathers their children wanted them to be. They had to strike a balance between their work and families. And every time they traveled out for work, their families were always scared that they might not return. In this movie, there is action, suspense, betrayal, love, and emotions. It is a full-package movie, highly recommended for whoever hasn't watched it.

Why I recommended this action-packed movie is that it teaches resilience, compassion, hard work, cohabiting with family, and maintaining relationships. This movie has all the spices and vibes; it's not just about military lifestyles; it cuts across civilians' lifestyles, too, giving ways to handle life from different perspectives. The acting, producing, and directing of the movie were superb, they deserve some accolades for a job well done.

This movie showed the practical challenges families are facing, the challenges of married couples whose jobs aren't giving them enough time to take care of their homes. It shows the sacrifices made by individuals to keep their homes secured in the face of obstacles, fighting through all storms to keep the marriage healthy even when everything seems not to be working. The pains endured in marriage just for peace to reign, finding happiness in every little thing around one's life appreciating family not limited to those bonded by blood alone, and celebrating true friendship even in hard times. There was a woman in this movie whose character amazed me; her marriage was crumbling, and she was fixing other marriages, making sure their homes were settled while hers was on the verge of divorce. This movie titled "The Unit is a must-watch; it's more than watching for entertainment's sake.
