My Introductory Post: A Journey to Share About My Life

ABOUT ME
Hi hive friends, good day!
I’m Raquel but my friends call me Raqii or Raqs. Just want to tell you about myself. Others described me as simple, kind and friendly. I am glad I have found this platform where I could share the glimpse of my life. I am a hardworking and dedicated person who always willing to learn and take some challenges. I also love adventures, which includes hiking and swimming.

ABOUT MY FAMILY
I am the oldest and I have two younger sisters. We were so close to each other and our bonding time was eating and watching. My mother is a housewife and my father were a construction worker but we didn’t want him to work anymore because he was in his senior age. But my father didn’t want to stay in the house because he said it made him sick. When I was a child, I always dreamed of having our own home because we grew up moving from place to place.

ABOUT MY SCHOOL DAYS
I didn’t have so much recall on my elementary days but I was changing school every time we change our home, until I graduated here in Laguna. My auntie let me stay in their house to finish my Highschool and College. I graduated as a Business Administration major in Operation Management. What I really want is culinary arts or fine arts because I also want to enhance my baking and drawing skills, but we cannot afford those courses. But I love my course that I take, it helps me a lot in life. It gives me a knowledge not only in business but also other aspects in life. And it helps me also to grow my self-character, because I was actually a shy type person, it just didn’t show on my face. In my elementary and high school days, I didn’t always participate in some extracurricular activities because I’ll always think that it was another expense. As much as possible, I want to save so that my parents can use it in other things. Until, I went to college, and I participated in a club where the founder is a priest and also one my professor in my one subject. I joined on the club because I love what they are doing in that club. It also gives me many friends, and at that time, I also realized that joining in some other activities will not always make you pay. I have two best friends in our room which also my team in thesis and in our on-campus OJT. Our on-campus OJT was to sell products and hit the quota in the given time by out faculty, which also I’m enjoying because I feel happy every time someone buy products/foods from us. All in all, my school life, especially my college days was so amazing and wonderful.

MY LIFE TODAY
As of now I work in a corporate world and have a stable job. We still didn’t have a permanent home but I always pray and still believe that we will soon have our own home. Because as of now, om of my considerations is to live in a province. I am learning virtual assistant jobs and taking some courses because once I live in the province it is better that you work from your home. And also, I want to spend my time with my parents because they are aging already. I want them also to feel that we are still here. My sisters and I were working so hard and trying our best to give the life that they deserved. But I never forget to also reward myself. When I have extra money and time, I’ll go hiking or going to other places to unwind. I love nature because it makes my heart and mind calm and it helps me to relax. I also love to camp and to explore some other places. There was a time that I just want to stay at house, and if I was in the house, I was helping my mother in house chores and if I’m done, I’m going in my room to draw or watching anime/horror movies/series or other interesting movies. And sometimes, I play a game on my phone or singing because I love music. I also cooked for my family whenever I can and they loved it. I am thinking to start a small business here in put home. I want to sell some dessert or snacks because for me ‘food is life’. I am also happy because my family is always there to support me in everything I want to do in my life especially my father and my partner. They are the ones that always pushing me cooked more and giving me courage to make it better. Now, I am far from my past but I am still far from my dreams but I know if I worked hard I can reach my dreams soon, dreamed for my family and for myself.
