Nice wednesday in La Cuesta Merida, Venezuela.

Hello to all my hivers friends, this is my first post in this community and my participation in the initiative of @tattoodjay of the Wednesday walk #wednesdaywalk, I hope everything is going well and if not, I wish you peace and well-being, time usually gives sweet outputs the bitter and difficult situations. On this occasion I want to share with you my walk last Wednesday, to one of my favorite sites, one of the sites I visit most in my city, for many years I go to this site, either to clear my head to exercise and help my health or simply because I have some free time, this site is called the slope of the Heroines, it is located on one side adjacent to the Mukumnbari Teleférico system, near the center of the city of Mérida, state Mérida, Venezuela, this slope formed by stairs and concrete and concrete cloth communicates the center of the city with another sector of Mérida called San Jacinto and Chama, allowing access through this path which many people travel either for pleasure as in my case or to reach their jobs or homes much faster than by means of vehicular transport, here I show you the starting site to start descending the path of which I will tell you.

Once I started going down the concrete stairs I could observe the majestic landscape which is accompanied by a pleasant climate which is quite fresh with an ideal temperature to go down walking by the stairs and further down the change in the way of concrete stairs to concrete cloths and concrete sections like a ramp.

The descent is demanding, you have to do it in zigzag, on the way I met several people who, like me, enjoy visiting this site, there are always many people who enjoy this site.

Halfway there is the site where the people who travel it rest and refresh themselves, the ascent of the road is quite demanding, on this stretch there are trees on both sides of it, and it is my favorite stretch of the road, there are some artifacts to do sit-ups and some exercises for those who want to use them.

At the bottom of the site where it communicates with another sector of the city there is a river and a bridge that is the resting and preparation site to climb the stairs and the way back, there are several houses and adjacent to the path, in which they roast and prepare coffee for consumption, as well as several bamboo plants adjacent to the path, the landscape that can be appreciated almost arriving at the bridge is refreshing, it is impressive, I usually take a few minutes to appreciate the immensity that is in sight.

After arriving at the bridge after about 15 minutes of walking or descending, I prepared for the ascent and before starting the ascent I could see once again the landscape and the river that is below the concrete and of my feet, I stretched my body and I was about to go up, you can see before starting the ascent the return place where it is in the main station of the Mukumbari cable car system where I had been a few minutes before the descent.

After about 20 minutes of ascent and a quite demanding walker, I manage to return to the beginning of the hill of the heroines, where for a few minutes I had to walk and stretch my legs, at the site there is a store where they sell refreshing drinks, I bought a cold coconut and I drank it in a few seconds due to the thirst I had, after drinking it my levels stabilized again which was very refreshing. That was my view of the hill, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I friends and that the photos have been to your liking, see you in a new post. I will leave some of the photos I captured during the ascent back.

Wow. Amazing hike with lots of nature and beautiful scenery. Looks a bit steep. I have always heard of the Cuesta but I still don't know it and I lived in the center for a long time. Great pictures

Thank you friend, yes it is a bit steep, but it is a good place for a short walk to clear your mind and recharge batteries.

Such a beautiful landscape, it was worth the walk! Much more demanding than my today's walk as I didn't have to go uphill so much, just a bit. Good that you could refresh yourself with the coconut :))
