Grand Blue El anime que redefine la comedia universitaria 🌊☀️ (ENG/ESP)

Hola, amigos de la comunidad de @theanimerealm. Espero que todos se encuentren muy bien. Me alegra muchísimo formar parte de este espacio dedicado exclusivamente al anime.

Hasta ahora, en Hive solo había compartido contenido sobre skate, pero debido a mi trabajo, no he podido seguir subiendo mis videos con la misma frecuencia. Sin embargo, creo que esta comunidad me brinda la oportunidad perfecta para retomar la creación de contenido, esta vez enfocándome en una de mis grandes pasiones como lo es el anime.

Después de la jornada laboral, no hay nada mejor que disfrutar de una buena taza de café y sentarme frente a la laptop para escribir reseñas sobre los animes que he tenido la oportunidad de ver. Así que espero estar por aquí con frecuencia, compartiendo recomendaciones y opiniones que, estoy seguro, muchos disfrutarán.

Hello, friends of the @theanimerealm community. I hope you are all doing well. I am very happy to be part of this space dedicated exclusively to anime.

Until now, I had only shared content about skateboarding on Hive, but due to my job, I have not been able to continue uploading my videos with the same frequency. However, I think that this community gives me the perfect opportunity to resume creating content, this time focusing on one of my great passions, anime.

After the work day, there is nothing better than enjoying a good cup of coffee and sitting in front of the laptop to write reviews about the anime I have had the opportunity to watch. So I hope to be here frequently, sharing recommendations and opinions that, I am sure, many will enjoy.

Cuando hablamos de comedia en el anime, es imposible no mencionar "Grand Blue". Adaptado del manga Grand Blue Dreaming de Kenji Inoue y Kimitake Yoshioka, este anime de 2018, producido por Zero-G, nos sumerge (literalmente) en una historia universitaria que mezcla buceo, alcohol y humor absurdo en su máxima expresión.

Si buscas una serie llena de momentos épicos, personajes desquiciados y un sinfín de situaciones ridículamente divertidas, Grand Blue es una joya que no puedes ignorar.

When we talk about comedy in anime, it's impossible not to mention "Grand Blue." Adapted from the manga Grand Blue Dreaming by Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka, this 2018 anime, produced by Zero-G, immerses us (literally) in a college story that mixes diving, alcohol, and absurd humor at its finest.

If you're looking for a series full of epic moments, crazy characters, and endless ridiculously funny situations, Grand Blue is a gem you can't ignore.

La historia sigue a Iori Kitahara, un joven que se muda a la ciudad costera de Izu para comenzar su nueva vida universitaria en la Universidad de Izu. Su tío es dueño de la tienda de buceo Grand Blue, donde Iori planea hospedarse mientras estudia. Todo parece indicar que tendrá una experiencia universitaria tranquila y enfocada en el mar hasta que conoce a los miembros del club de buceo Peek a Boo.

Lo que sigue es una serie de eventos que desafían toda lógica, alcohol en cantidades industriales, competencias absurdas, amistades nacidas del caos y, en algún momento, algo de buceo. Iori se ve arrastrado por sus senpais Ryuujirou Kotobuki y Shinji Tokita, dos gorilas musculosos cuya única misión en la vida parece ser beber hasta perder la dignidad. Su compañero de desventuras es Kouhei Imamura, un otaku hardcore que rápidamente se convierte en su mejor amigo y en su mayor rival en las peleas más estúpidas imaginables.

Y sí, aunque el anime es una oda a la locura, de vez en cuando recuerda que el buceo también es parte de la trama, entregándonos escenas espectaculares del océano y transmitiendo la sensación de paz que este deporte ofrece.

The story follows Iori Kitahara, a young man who moves to the coastal city of Izu to begin his new college life at Izu University. His uncle owns the Grand Blue Diving Shop, where Iori plans to stay while studying. Everything seems to indicate that he will have a calm, sea-focused college experience… until he meets the members of the Peek a Boo Diving Club.

What follows is a series of events that defy all logic, alcohol in industrial quantities, absurd competitions, friendships born from chaos, and, at some point, some diving. Iori finds himself dragged along by his senpais Ryuujirou Kotobuki and Shinji Tokita, two muscled gorillas whose only mission in life seems to be to drink themselves silly. His partner in misadventures is Kouhei Imamura, a hardcore otaku who quickly becomes his best friend and his greatest rival in the stupidest fights imaginable.

And yes, although the anime is an ode to madness, from time to time it reminds us that diving is also part of the plot, giving us spectacular scenes of the ocean and transmitting the feeling of peace that this sport offers.

Lo que mas me gusto / What I liked the most

El punto fuerte de Grand Blue es, sin duda, su comedia. Este anime no tiene miedo de ir al extremo con sus bromas, y lo hace de una manera magistral. Desde las expresiones faciales exageradas hasta los malentendidos más absurdos, cada episodio tiene momentos que te harán llorar de la risa.

Iori y Kouhei tienen una de las mejores dinámicas de amigos/rivales que he visto en el anime. Sus interacciones son puro oro cómico, especialmente cuando compiten por cosas tan importantes como quién se ve más cool o quién es menos virgen. Los senpais, Kotobuki y Tokita, elevan la locura a otro nivel con su obsesión por el alcohol y los desnudos, mientras que personajes como Chisa Kotegawa y Aina Yoshiwara aportan un balance (mínimo) de cordura a la historia.

A pesar de que el buceo no es el foco principal, las pocas escenas que lo incluyen están muy bien animadas y transmiten una sensación de tranquilidad increíble. Es un punto brutal con el caos del resto del anime, y eso lo hace aún más especial

Grand Blue's strong point is, without a doubt, its comedy. This anime isn't afraid to go over the top with its jokes, and it does so in a masterful way. From exaggerated facial expressions to the most absurd misunderstandings, every episode has moments that will make you cry from laughter.

Iori and Kouhei have one of the best friends/rivals dynamics I've seen in anime. Their interactions are pure comedic gold, especially when they compete over important things like who looks the coolest or who's the least virginal. The senpais, Kotobuki and Tokita, take the craziness to another level with their obsession with alcohol and nudity, while characters like Chisa Kotegawa and Aina Yoshiwara bring a (minimal) balance of sanity to the story.

Even though diving isn't the main focus, the few scenes that do include it are very well animated and convey an incredible sense of calm. It's a brutal point with the chaos of the rest of the anime, and that makes it even more special

¿Recomiendo GRAND BLUE? / Do I recommend GRAND BLUE?

¡Definitivamente! Si te gusta la comedia sin filtros y los animes que no se toman en serio a sí mismos, este es un must watch. Es una experiencia caótica, divertida y llena de momentos memorables que te harán reír sin parar.

Sin embargo, si buscas una historia más profunda o te incomodan los chistes sobre alcohol y desnudos, puede que no sea lo que esperas.

Aunque la trama no avanza mucho y el buceo queda en segundo plano, la comedia de Grand Blue es tan increíblemente buena que esos defectos quedan en un segundo plano. Si lo ves con la mentalidad correcta (aceptando que es una locura de principio a fin), te espera uno de los animes más graciosos que existen.

While the plot doesn't move much forward and the diving takes a backseat, Grand Blue's comedy is so incredibly good that those flaws fade into the background. If you watch it with the right mindset (accepting that it's crazy from start to finish), you're in for one of the funniest animes out there.
