Perpetual contracts can be tricky without a solid grasp. They’re leveraged, so risk management is key. I’d suggest starting with small test trades to understand the mechanics before diving in. Learned that lesson the hard way with futures years ago

I remember trying it on a platform that offered a trial account with fictitious funds. I never learned how to trade; rather, I was just lucky the times I managed to make something, but I didn't manage to grasp the knowledge I wanted. It was just the typical “let's see what happens” approach.
Now I want it to be different, but I'll follow your advice and do it with little money. At least that way I'll gain experience to go for more.
Glad you're taking a cautious approach. Starting small with real money, even tiny amounts, forces you to feel the stakes and learn faster than demo accounts. Risk management is everything with perps—set stop-losses and don’t over-leverage
