Evening run | 10km , 9km easy - 1 km fast

Tomorrow morning I will be going on a week holiday with my girls to a Dutch peninsula called Ameland. While the focus will be on family time, I will definitly do some beach runs there - especially since that will give me a rare opportunity to train in loose sand before my upcoming coast & beach marathon in Februari 2026.
Before I will start packing my bags later tonight, I managed to squize in an evening run!
My run today was mostly a low zone 2 run. I focussed on keeping my heartrate around 135 bpm. I decided to go for mostly unpaved routes - which helped me to destress (from a rather intense week)
My run went very smooth, I felt strong and noticed at multiple times I picked uo the pace a bit. Therefore I at first cut back on pace - stick to the plan, but allowed myself to do the last 1200 meters fast(er). Holding this faster pace was very doable - so after my holiday I will give my attempt to break 20 min 5km another try (last attempt 20:16)
