Politics Is A Dirty Game And Not For Me.
During my high school days, I had two best subjects and they were Literature and Government. I developed interest in them mostly because the teachers who taught me were so good and also good at what they taught. If they explain a particular topic to you, they’d do it in a way that you’d understand it so well.
If you’re being taught in a good way that you’d understand very well, you’d surely be interested in it. Now, my Government teacher made me interested in politics and that’s how I got to know so many stories about the history of Nigeria and at some point, I was thinking of being a politician but I later dropped that dream since it’s not something I really wish to do.
If I had the opportunity to be a politician, would I take the role?
God knows I so much love leadership roles. I love being at the forefront of so many things but not all things. If I talk about me loving leadership roles, I’m talking about being the head of a company, band or other things but not politics. I know life itself is a risk but politics is one of the dirtiest games I’ve ever seen or heard of.
Well, I’ve got so many politicians in my family and some of them are holding reasonable posts here in Lagos but wouldn’t like to mention names. Let’s forget about that. My grandfather died due to this politics, I lost my uncle to it too. I’m not trying to focus on the negative aspect of it but it’s dirty and most people doing it here in my country engage in so many things just because they want to win a post.
I’m sure we all know how bloody elections could be here in Nigeria. I voted during this last election. I voted APC because that’s my family party and my uncles were also contesting for some roles in Lagos and Oyo state. We were there as family members to vote our beloved in and it was war but I’m glad my uncles won. I’m not ready to engage in a game that’s going to cost my life or take the life of other people. I won’t do it so if I get such role, I won’t take it.
If I take the role, will I play the politics game differently?
Why not? I surely will. I’m a very righteous person and the people around me know that I’m never going to engage in something that will ruin my name. I love to be straightforward. I hate to see people suffer. If I become a politician today, I’m only going to try my best.
I won’t promise people what I don’t have even thoigh that’s why people usually vote their contestants in. At the same time, I can’t satisfy everyone so I’d just give it my best.
Will I ever get carried away?
I’m surely going get carried away. If I ever tell you that I won’t get carried away, it means I’m only lying to you. No matter how determined we are in life, we tend to get carried away at times because we’re human and we may be wanting something at times but the best thing to do is make sure we get back on track very quick before it becomes late.

It's very difficult to travel that path and not get carried, the taste of power can change a person.
The truth is that you can never satisfy everyone. But even still I don't see myself getting into politics too. Power is a dangerous thing to have because it's difficult to stay in control all the time.
Most politicians don’t care if someone lost their life for them. That’s why I say I would never marry a politician because it’s like you and your family are never safe. Mays God protect you and your family.

Like I said, I wont get my hands dirty, but I will have my own league of shadows that would do my bidding so long it benefit the country. There are still some people in power to be removed if they refuse to change. I am not naive enough to say I will keep my hands clean if I want my country clean and reed of all this corruption and ungodliness.
Politics is almost always a dirty game, which makes us believe that all politicians are bad and I think 99% are, but we have good politicians too, who should try to implement good things for the population, but how dirty the game is , he will hardly achieve anything with support and doing everything in the normal and correct way.
It's complicated, I don't see myself as a politician either.
I stay away from politics including all discussions about it. Politics is dirty and does not reflect any standards of uprightness. Yes being in leader, a founder or the key person in a team with noble goals is much better than politics. We share similar likeness for making things happens.
