When we observe the cards in the game, we certainly spot the best cards, cards that have extraordinary stats and they standout. Everyone knows having that specific card in their team will greatly increase their winning chances. Their stats look dominating and their abilities stand out. Picking up these cards are no brainer at all and obviously these cards sells for the premium in the market due to the same reason as everyone wants to add these cards to their lineup. In the contrast, there exist some cards, that do not look like a match winner, but their presence in a specific position and synergy with other cards used in the team, make them match winners for the team.

This week's Community Engagement Challenge focuses on uncovering the hidden gems that, when in the team, are capable of changing the course of the battle. Individually, their stats may not look strong, but when placed in the team, they provide a formidable opposition and prove to be a great ally for their team. They themselves may or may not execute the kill but their presence may help their allied monsters to do their job and help the team in winning the battles.

Since, I took a break and started playing again recently so may be I am still not aware of many hidden gems in the game. Also, you know about the hidden gems while playing the game, testing the different strategies and they are very hard to spot by just looking at their stats. So, in my current playing, I find "Nim Guard Captain" an underrated and hidden gem as a common death card. Since this is a common card, so having a level 1 copy of this card is very pocket-friendly. let us explore the stats of this cards.

Since this is Foundation card, its stats are available till level 5. So at level 1 , it has 1 melee attack, 3 armor, and 5 health. While at level 5 it has 1 melee attack , 5 armor and 7 health. For abilities, it has only the "void" ability for all levels currently. I am not sure, if this can be considered underrated at level 5 also, but with surity, I can say at level 1 or Bronze level battles it is definitely a strong and underrated card. I am also not sure if any level 1 card exist with "void" ability that can be used as tank in modern battles,

It armor give protection against the melee and range attack and void give protection against the magic attacks. Actually, units having 1 magic attack are complete failure against this card due to its void ability.

Let me explain the usability of this card by below battle.

This is how the team look like after the summoner and monster abilities in effect. It is noticeable that most of cards were reduce to health 1 while Nim Guard Captain still has health 3 and 3 armor at level 1. This really make it good tank in this scenario.

So at the end of round 1, my sneak attack has wiped out the card from opponent's tail. Though my opponent and me used the same "underrated" tank but my tank is in much better shape than the opponents.

At this juncture, it is no brainer that I will win the battle.

Also note, opponent used the same tank, because it is best card to use but the win is dependent on the other allies monsters supporting the tank.
